I believe that Peter Maher said before the game that Dan Quinn started off with points in 7 straight games at the start of his NHL career back in 83-84.
Quinn was a uber talented player in a very offensive era.
Early yet but Monahan looks like a far more complete player and leader.
I think he has shown all of us fans, including the staff that he deserves to stay up. He is a dynamic player, and a pleasure to watch, making players around him better and shown to be building great chemistry. People still barking at sending him down to "not burn a year of his elc" should just stfu. This guy has nothing to prove in juniors, he's definitely ready.
I bet Hartley throws Cammalleri in on the rookie line. Trained with Monahan in the offseason (if I remember correctly), and a good way to sort of ease him back in the lineup by putting him on the line he has been sheltering a little (though much less this game).
The kid was hot last night, but tell me where will he be tomorrow? Based on the Mona/Mona/Mona/Oi/Oi/Oi heard throughout the dome last night, that white mouth guard isn't going anywhere. Happy birthday Whitey/Mr.Burkie/Flames Fans It won't just be a cup of tea......Sean is legal now http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legal_drinking_age

The flames position in the draft last season dropped because they were winning at a time when people said they shouldn't have been winning as it would have "benefitted" the Team to get a higher draft pick. Now, the flames find themselves with a player who seems to be a big piece in continuing to win, when most people say they shouldn't be. What a strange coincidence... Or is that because of the continuity of the players in the room, being led to play with a win at all costs mentality?
