How many followers does one need to monetize their Twitter?

Dumb comment is dumb, and will age poorly. Twitter video is already growing rapidly.

Eyeballs are fickle and fleeting. People aren’t visiting Twitter for multimedia content.

A pivot to this is going to be money pit. It is barely breaking even on subs and advertising. How are they going to pay content creators? With Dogecoin? The only way is if the Bank of Elon bankrolls this and can lure some names over. It’s not sustainable that way.

The turn on Musk happened gradually, but if you had a tipping point for most it was when he called that diver a pedi.

Look at Zamler, just popping into the thread randomly, not following any conversation, to declare that twitter is amazing and it's only up from here. Suggesting Twitter is going to compete with YouTube is wild bro

These are two entirely different platforms.

Please, indulge us.
Haven't you heard? Musk wants Twitter to be the everything app(he calls it X), like WeChat became in China. It's going to be Twitter, Youtube, Paypal, Medium, Substack, Facebook, Blogger, ICQ, IRC, Ebay, and AOL all rolled into one. I predict massive sweeping success, because Musk is a genius.

Where do you land when taking a political compass test? I lean somewhat left/libertarian.

There is a greater chance that that Twitter goes into bankruptcy and Musk loses control of the company than there competing with YouTube.

I gotta ask, since you are such a Musk fan, is there anything he would do, say, or fail at that would make you reconsider your unflinching support for him?

Brain genius Elon bans the Latin-prefix "cis" used in both Biology and Chemistry to denote "same" or "default state" because it makes culture war weirdos upset.

I'm critical of him all the time, he paid way too much for Twitter for example but it turned out to be a massive gift to investors.

People like you simply don't get it. You are constantly caught up in spewing hate (as is half of CP) because of your ideology and can't see the big picture.

I love this line. You've seen the light, and it's everyone else who can't see it.

Do you think he's a bigot, or just plays one on the internet?

Not everyone, but many.

Pretty telling you couldn't even answer the question and went straight to that.

That's your thing, making accusations without evidence thought I'd try it.

I bet you think this is all valid.

BREAKING: Republican billionaire Elon Musk is thrust into another nightmare PR disaster as it's revealed that the missing Titanic submersible company previously praised his satellite communication company Starlink — and said that it would be "relying on" the service to "provide the communications" for the Titanic Expedition.

The world lost all communication with the submersible and its crew shortly after it began its journey towards the sunken wreck.

A massive search-and-rescue effort is currently underway but prospects look grimmer by the hour. The crew has limited oxygen and cannot exit the craft without outside help.

It must be stated that at this point there is no direct indication that Starlink failed or was the cause of this terrifying and possibly tragic incident. That said, given Musk's long history of screwups and reckless dishonesty, an investigation should be launched.

Any large organization trends towards inefficiency. Whether government or private, it's just hard to keep thousands of people working productively.

This is especially the case in industries with almost no unemployment (so finding competent staff is hard) or in industries with rapid growth. This was the alberta oil patch during the boom years and is the tech industry now.

I recall a study a client of ours did that found that many of their construction crews actually produced negative output as their 'work' would regularly need to be redone.
