Remember when Trump said that he could kill a man in Times Square and his reporters would still love him. The reality is far worse. He can kill 200k nationwide and his supporters still love him.

He didn't even know who Bob Woodward was.

"Bob Woodward is somebody that I respect just from hearing the name for many, many years, not knowing too much about his work, not caring about his work, but I thought it would be interesting to talk to him for a period of calls. So we did that," Trump said.

How can you respect someone just because you've heard his name? I've heard Trump's name a lot and respect doesn't even enter the conversation.

I fully believe that. How could you be willing talk to Woodward that candidly as a president if you knew his career. Of all people to say these things to...

This whole thing is vintage Trump. He's the one who lied and helped caused the deaths of a hell of a lot of people. But it's Woodward's fault because he knew Trump lied and didn't expose those earlier?

When was this quote from? Because Woodward already came out with a book about Trump in 2018, and Trump slammed him on twitter a bunch of times. So if this quote is recent then Trump is lying, yet again. He absolutely knows who he is.

Sorry, should have linked, was a CNN story.

Apparently he said it in Michigan on Thursday night.

Thanks for the link.

Yeah, he's talking straight out of his arse, as usual. He's already had one book about him from Woodward, he's tweeted about him, he's probably known about him since Nixon if not earlier. I like the line about 'not caring' about him.......which means in reality it's eating him up inside.

So trump, allegedly, didn’t know who Woodward is and no one warned him?

Maybe trump knew and thought he could manipulate him, maybe trump didn’t know his reputation, or maybe his advisors purposefully tossed their boss to the wolves. My money is on the first.

Trump is now contradicting what he said on tape. He’s either that stupid or that arrogant, or both.

I think I heard this story on the Hacks on Tap podcast, but the apparent reasoning for Trump talking to Woodward was that Trump's staff didn't let him talk to Woodward for his 2018 book (Fear: Trump in the Whitehouse).

When that book came out and was highly critical of Trump, the President was furious as he felt that, with his direct involvement, the book would be much more glowing. Trump, as usual, believes the solution to any problem is more Trump, so he sat down for lengthy interviews with Woodward, 18 in total I think, including several his staff had no idea were happening until they were already done.

There's going to be so much more in that book and on those tapes and I don't believe any of it will have an impact on his supporters.

Trump supporters are not good people.

Yeah, I get it, it's CNN for those that lean right. But Cuomo makes some good points.

Harrison has become a pretty strong candidate and is giving Lindsey everything he can handle. I think the electorate has soured on Graham over his inconsistency of position like the one posted here. Do not be shocked to see Harrison take his senate seat on election day. The polls are slowly trending in Harrison's favor, and there seems to be a concerted anti-Graham media blitz in the Carolinas.

This isn't even mentioning that Thom Tillis has been consistently trailing Cal Cunningham in the polls in North Carolina. That's two senate seats in the Carolinas that have a good chance of going blue this time around. It's also no coincidence that both Tillis and Graham has been strong Trump supporters.

Moving the needle a little might be enough. (At least enough to more credibly steal the election.)

Maybe they cook up a way to make Trump look great for about a week. Who knows. Trump is however such a great Russian tool, they'll be sure to try something. But obviously you could be right in that it might not do anything.

Quite importantly the US intelligence agencies should this time be expecting it, so they won't completeöy fall for it like the FBI did four years ago.
