I do, I can feel it now over the past two years. Like I wait for that lush, fresh, beautiful look and feel of our city that makes us awesome for a couple months. And now the last few years it just feels like you get this hot, messy, forest fire smog look to our city almost as soon as summer starts and it actually affects my mental health a little.
I never knew that in myself before. But the hazy, ugly **** look of our city during the now endless fire season actually takes away from my health and enjoyment of the city, and I realize my brain has been waiting for the lush, fresh, full wetland scene all fall/winter/spring and it doesn't really come anymore.
|
This is why zero-scaping just doesn’t work for me. After so much brown and grey over the winter/spring, the few months of lush green lawn and trees feels so refreshing. It’s like waking up from hibernation.
We just did a three week trip down through Yellowstone, Moab and Zion, and as great as those desert and canyon experiences are we were so happy to start seeing “green” as we turned north (cold water from the tap was sure missed as well). No way I want the snow to melt, revealing more brown and grey. I love seeing the lawn come to life.
I have family down in Arizona and I find it depressing.

Yeah when I saw the sun was bright orange I knew the smoke was coming in.
Sucks that we get so few days of this great green and we live with the continuous fire smoke for the last few years.

I thought it was just me, found it really smoky at lunch.
Can't quite taste the smoke yet, that's when you know it's really bad.

Aren't you English? You come from the land where the weather sucks all the time and everywhere always?

Do you water your garden with a sprinkler? You are still allowed to water with a hose and spray nozzle

Soaker hose. Looks like water with a regular hose and nozzle or wand is fine though and doesn't have any restrictions so I'll do that.
