It was more of a commentary on your follow-up responses to people who talked about how they’re enjoying the weather.
cp: great day for a beer and float down the river.
you: children are drowning in floods and they’ll never have the chance to drink a beer.

I can see the top of that storm from the deep SE, looks like a monster. It's interesting watching the flights divert around storms like that on Flightradar24.

Pretty great day in Canmore today. Not too hot. Some clouds to keep the sun off ya and the smoke isn’t much at all. Hard to beat this.

Finally a nice storm in my area of the city. Missed out on them so much this year as they've either been more south or north of my location.

I know there's people that suffer from depression over grey skies and struggle in Vancouver. Does anyone suffer from seeing Calgary as an ugly city most of Fall/Winter/Spring and really relies on the green, lush period between late May and June?
I do, I can feel it now over the past two years. Like I wait for that lush, fresh, beautiful look and feel of our city that makes us awesome for a couple months. And now the last few years it just feels like you get this hot, messy, forest fire smog look to our city almost as soon as summer starts and it actually affects my mental health a little.
I never knew that in myself before. But the hazy, ugly **** look of our city during the now endless fire season actually takes away from my health and enjoyment of the city, and I realize my brain has been waiting for the lush, fresh, full wetland scene all fall/winter/spring and it doesn't really come anymore.

Yup winter blues are real thing.
I usually countdown to the time change in March as now you have some extra light to look forward too slowly and by the end of the month you get excited.
Looking at the lush green walking outside the heat it's awesome and just changes your mood. Even rotated my desk in my office to face outside to enjoy more of it.
Winter sucks cold snow darkness. Nfl NHL NBA get us through those tough times.

My freshly seeded lawn is loving it.

Definitely happy for the rain, wife asked me to water her flowers when she's gone for the week and I totally forgot until reading about Doublek's grass seed.
Thanks for having my back, mother nature

I swear, every time I break down and put the sprinkler out, it dumps rain an hour later.

Definitely me. Summer is amazing when it's green and sunny with rain when we need it, but it never stays that way and brown/dry/smoky conditions always end up taking over. That's when my seasonal blues kick in and I start counting down to fall. This year hasn't been as bad as previous years though, and that storm last night was great. But man I can't wait for fall!

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for night time rain. Then it can get bac to being sunny and warm in the day.
We have so many "####ty" days that I relish the hot days, bring it on!

Until you keep your house at 30° in the winter I'm calling BS, still. If hot temperatures are so awesome, that has to mean room temperature is too cold.

In summer it should be hot.
In winter is should be cold with snow so I can ski.
The weather should be seasonally appropriate.
