I watched the Fire Aid concerts from LA on Disney+.
Some notable performances - Stevie Nicks, John Fogerty, Nirvana with St. Vincent and Kim Gordon, Earth Wind & Fire, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Wonder and Sting, No Doubt.
Joni brought a tear to my eye. Legend.
The Nirvana reunion was incredible. So awesome to see Dave, Krist, and Pat together. The women rocked, Violet Grohl did a great job.

Been listening to the U2 album Zooropa, which I was hitherto unaware of.
Apparently they were trying ot make a quasi concept album of a cyberpunk future post-Wall Europe, which I think they failed at. But the result is still intriguing. A skeptical yet optimistic take on Europe's future, covering topics like porn addiction and Freudian mother infatuation as a source of male motivation. U2 were in the middle of a two year world tour, so I suspect Eno and Flood did a lot of the heavy lifting here.
Kind of fizzles out towards the end, there are a couple typical cheezy U2 ballads that feel out of place. Then Johnny Cash makes an unexpected appearance.
The title track, Lemon and The Wanderer (starring Johnny Cash) are the standout tracks.
hard to believe this is the same band that has been pretty lame and tame for the past ~25 years.

This was the best band in Calgary for about a year. Creator is now a big movie guy in England working on bond films. This was when it was all grunge stuff, brilliant Brit pop David Byrne Arcade fire and breeders weird as crap. Out of his basement. Just listen until he starts singing. They could have went to the moon if they weren’t brilliant and other things.
