Agree with this having a good chance of happening.
Setting up Manning vs the Colts as the big game in the AFC Divisional.
And HOU vs NE.
Would be GB vs Sf and Seattle vs Atl in NFC if it played out this way.

Oh Jerry is obviously the problem. He wants a coach who obeys and will let Jerry be Jerry, Garrett is that, and they obviously believe in Romo because he continously gives them false hope, despite everything saying the guy cannot come through in the clutch.

Also, I think RGIII will get rookie of the year (not saying I would vote for him or that he is not deserving), but Morris is a machine. A 1,500 yard runner.........I wish Luck had that! We barely had a 800 yard guy.

Don't forget the FG Dallas ridiculously passed up at the end of the first half.

Yep, I believe he is getting 8 mill a year too if I remember correctly. Probably in the top 5 highest paid coaches in the league. That's even more than what Sean Payton just signed for.
Two years left on his contract I believe, even for someone like Jones that must be a hard salary to pay someone sitting at home.

Didn't they overpay him as offensives coordinator when his name propped up for head coaching gigs as well?

Can't complain at all about the Colts schedule. 3 tough home games: Houston, Denver, Seattle. 3 tough road games, Houston, San Francisco, Cincinnati.
No reason why they shouldn't win at least 11 games again based on that schedule.
So stoked about Indy coming to SF!

I agree that Jerry is the problem.
The Cowboys never developed a QB successor for Aikman and it led them to waste a draft pick and several years with Quincy Carter. They had signed Randall Cunningham, Vinny Testaverde and Drew Bledsoe who were all way, way past their prime. Then after a bunch of other scrubs like Chad Hutchinson, Anthony Wright and Clint Stoerner, they got lucky with an undrafted kid from Eastern Illinois named Romo. Once Romo showed promise they basically went all in with him and have never developed a successor or replacement for him. If we don't keep him now, we are back to square one with a very mediocre draft pick.
Furthermore, Jerry has proven to be so stubborn with loyalty that he missed great opportunities for coaches and gave it to weaklings like Campo, Chan Gailey, Wade Phillips and Jason Garrett who is a better offensive coordinator than head coach. They showed some progress under Bill Parcells who wasn't interested in being subservient the way that the other coaches seemed to be.
Jerry is just not a football guy. He can own the team but needs to bring in someone who has a real football mind to run the football operations.

Nice Titans in Seattle. Went to the pre-season game, but it's not the same. Also missed it when they were here a few years ago, but it was on week 17.
Predictions, going with all road teams except Green Bay.

Good question! I'm guessing that they weren't ready to offer the position to Payton right away and the Saints did. I certainly could be wrong though. This article is an interesting one on what Payton could have done with the Cowboys if he was to have been hired coach in 2013 (obviously now a moot point) - http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/s...-will-not-work

|
You have to work very hard to contain Morris, he just runs so damn hard every time. Not to mention the injury to Griffin is affecting his running game and he's still got one hell of a arm. Morris quietly racked up the second most yards and second most scores for a RB.
Griffin is clearly getting better, and they ran the ball all night because the cowboys just couldn't stop anything on the ground.
I'm kind of wondering if a few folks are dismissing the redskins too quickly. RG3 has the lowest interception count of starting QBs, and the play action of the Redskins is killing defenses.
The biggest weakness is the Redskins defense, which is mediocre at best. They are going to give up a LOT of yards to Lynch and on big plays. But they're doing pretty good on pass rush early on in games.
This one will be a slugfest on offense IMO.

Bears need a QB as much as anything IMO..Cutler just has a crappy aura about him and his temper certainly isnt going to endear him to anyone moving forward though i understand they have few if any options and will ride him at least another season....and they have to address that Oline.
That D will be extremely hard pressed to repeat what they did this season as far as scoring goes, and without that kind of contribution, the Bears offense is nothing more than mediocre.
