Again...not a done deal...yet.

Anybody think Warner gets out of Arizona? I could see a couple of teams making a move for him.
NYJ, Dallas, Jacksonville. Teams that are close enough they might be able to talk him into a move
|
Dallas? No way. Romo for life as it stands right now....good or bad.
Warner was on with Greenie and Golic this morning and it sure sounds like he is doing everything he can to go back to AZ, but if someone throws gobs of money at him it could happen.
Also...he was adamant that he wants boldin back as well...may be a deciding factor for him.

He's already been offered less to stay.

Awesome. Eagles win that deal easily and it becomes a massive win if that second pick becomes a second.

Just though I'd comment on Buckhalter. When he's healthy, he's a very good back. Runs and blocks well and can be effective in the passing game. The trick will be whether his knees hold up.

Cassel for Peppers?
What the hell? That would never happen.
And the Cheifs would be out of their minds to pull the trigger on that kind of highway robbery by Bellichek of his former buddy.

Stacy Andrews to the Eagles. Apparently he will play RT and Shawn will stay at RG. That right side is going to be a monstrous.

If they can stay healthy that will be a huge strength for the Eagles this year.
I'm still pretty irrate about losing Dawkins but what do you do....

It'll take some of the sting out if Quentin Demps continues to improve or if they draft Will Moore. I find it slightly amusing that our two starting safeties are both named Quentin.

Terms of the Dawkins deal:
Quote:
Denver signs free agent safety Brian Dawkins to a five-year, $17 million deal that includes $7.2 million guaranteed. The contract also has escalators that could boost the value of the deal to $27 million over five years, but the deal also could be voided to two years, $9 million.
|
Now I'm not nearly as upset. Five years is a long time for a guy his age. Reid and Banner might've matched for two but certainly not five.

5 yrs??? The guy has 2 good years left in him MAX. That puts me at ease somewhat that the Eagles never matched that.

Exactly. It sounds like the Broncos have put a clause in there where they can void it after two, but still. I actually give the FO some credit for not matching that offer. Denver also offered him about $3 million more than the Eagles offered him.

Kitna traded to the Cowboys for an undisclosed pick. Stafford all but guaranteed to be #1 overall now.

Very nice move for sure, though I don't think he is the answer. He's far better than what they have though.
The price is actually quite the opposite of what was rumored. So low that one has to wonder if it is on the up and up. Can't see Detroit not offering more.

It's how NFL contracts for veterans work now. Guaranteed money in the first two years and when they can't play anymore both parties walk away. Happens all the time.

Romo had better be ready for a competition.
