The word is that Scott feels that Jets general manager Mike Tannebaum has "reneged'' on some part of the contract that Scott thought he had already agreed to, and now Scott is re-thinking his decision.

No more BDawk in Philly! I can't believe it! I have watched and loved him his whole career.
I am really interested to see the terms of the deal. Can't imagine an extra year on a contract is enough to walk away from a franchise that you wanted to retire with. And can't believe 1 year would make the team let their heart and soul go for????
As an Eagle fan I am very sadden. I hope they're not after Williams as a replacement.

In the last three years, when Dawkins has played some of his best football, the Eagles have paid him a total of $7.2 million -- far less than many of his teammates. He reportedly isn't happy about it -- or about the roughly $3-million-a-year offer he has on the table from the Eagles.

Shanahan looks like a complete moron on Foxworth now. Hated that move from the first minute.

My thoughts...
Wanted Dawkins badly, thought there was no chance. Ecstatic.
Hate the Buckhalter and Arrington deals if they are for significant money. I don't believe you address starting RB through free agency, period. Yuck.
Gaffney? Not impressed at all. Was hoping McDaniels would have the courage to get off the Patriot teat. Very disappointed in this signing.
Foxworth should've been high on their list.

Is an old safety on the downside of his career what the Broncos need on defense?
It seems like the kind of patchwork move they have made in the past that hasn't worked out that well.
I think that if they were close to being good that adding a veteran guy like that could really help but the Broncos need so much help that at his age I wonder if Dawkins will work out that well.

My Thoughts:
Fred Taylor: Love this signing will compliment Maroney, Morris, and Faulk really nicely 4 headed monster the guy still has some good years and is a Terrific blocker
Chris Baker: Great blocking tight end, hopefully spells the end to butterfinger watson (hopefully they can trade him for some sort of asset)
In regards to rumors... Hosting Leigh Bodden really hope they sign him guys a stud i wont hold his year in detroit against him as no one does good in detroit.
Trading Mike Vrabel hurts me on an emotional level as the guy is all heart but it was time to move on hes lost a step and if they get a decent draft pick and save the cap space its a good move.
Hopefully we can move Cassell for some players/picks... really hoping for Peppers for Cassel trade

Broncos have also signed Dolphins safety Renaldo Hill. A second good move.

Actually, the last time they made this move it worked out fantastic. I haven't seen a dropoff in Dawkins play either. The most important thing he brings is leadership the likes of which the Denver defense hasn't seen since Al Wilson's career prematurely ended.
They are close to being good. They were 8-8 with that defense last year.

Exactly. The guy isn't what he was 3 or 4 years but he's still top 10 in the league and maybe top 5. He was the heart and soul of that Eagles defense and he's a beast against the run.
I'm not the only one who thinks Andy Reid and Joe Banner should be ashamed of themselves. Eagles fans are blowing up over this. That offer was basically like if the Flames offered Iginla a two-way contract after his current one expires.

I thought it didn't work out well with bringing in the Brown's linemen, Lynch or Bly etc.
I agree with the leadership aspect and his play hasn't become bad but it isn't as great as it was 2-3 years ago (which is understandable considering his age).
I don't think it is a bad signing just wondering if it is the best fit.
I also disagree on the close part with an artifical 8-8 record but no need to argue that point again.

Lynch was fantastic and is the only comparable. The other two (seven) moves didn't work out well. Bly was relatively young when he came to Denver too. I still haven't figured out why he sucked so badly. But Bly and the Brown pylons aren't comparables.
Domonique Foxworth should be starting opposite Bailey. Shanahan's worst move ever and I'm not kidding. They gave that kid away to make room for one of the worst defensive players I've ever seen on the Broncos. Not only is Foxworth a good young player, he's unbelievably intelligent and a rock solid citizen. Baltimore really did well with that signing. He's from Maryland so they had a nice head start.
For the record, the Broncos have a brutal schedule this season and I think they'll be in tough again. They will be much more competitive on defense and the offense will be special before too long. If the Chargers continue to slip the Broncos could sneak in.

Ditto, now sign Bartel and a safety, and draft Cushing, that's all.
Man, I love the fact Dawkins has left Philly.
