Worst outcome? Either bend to Quebec or election in less than a year.

I'll gladly take a video of him crying though to top off the night.

All the conservative #### posters here are less informed than I thought, "Super Majority", "Electoral College", "Called before the polls closed in Alberta" (when the Alberta polls had been closed for 45 minutes and several Alberta ridings had already been reported).

I actually think 3 parties have a legitimate case at claiming success here. The Bloc looking at a fairly high seat total in a pretty bi-polar election. The Conns out preforming most polls, and the liberals probably maintaining status quo at worst. NDP and Greens, sorry you have to admit loss.
CTV map looks pretty user friendly

We're almost certainly looking at a Liberal minority now. The NDP will again hold the balance of power despite being almost completely wiped out.

Welp, I just hope that Carney punts Butts and cleans up cabinet (Wilkinson and Guilbeault) and moves more towards center now.

Otherwise we are in for another looooong four years in the West….well more of the same really.

I don’t think we have the detail yet. The intriguing point is what is happening in the maratimes with the advanced vote coming in strongly red. If that’s a Canada trend rather than a regional one there is still a path.

For PP to double down and be a hardass and not stand for anything in particular aside from pointing out obvious Liberal mistakes, was just a bad move. The guy should be ousted.

Failing to read the room as badly as he did basically did him in. He is such a dumbass. Maybe 4th times the charm and CPC figures it out.

Not so fast. Decent chance of BQ holding that power.

edit, I still have some issues though, no indication leading vs called, pretty hard to move the map around. I feel like we had better online maps for elections in the 2000s

Still early (only 2/266 polls) but Pollievre trailing in his riding (645 votes for the Liberal vs 472 for Pollievre)

Oh and they will claim that they speak for all Canadians, act as though they are the party with the most seats, and present the LIBS with a list of demands that runs on for pages. What a country.

Yeah, the Bloc could hold the balance of power, but I think the Liberal and NDP seat total will be very close to 172.

It still depends on the advanced vote which went mostly towards the libs. That flipped a few of the maritime seats.

The Liberals aren't leading any ridings in Edmonton (they're not really even close), which I find surprising.

BQ being in a coalition would basically 100% kill any chance of oil infrastructure going east. In a vacuum it sucks that after the last 10 years the Liberals get to form government again, but we're not in a vacuum and PP is potentially one of the worst politicians I've ever seen at being able to see public sentiment.

I hope that this dramatic swing to a loss kills culture war politics as a path going forward, but I'm not optimistic.
