I really don’t have an issue with Toronto succeeding as some do. However the selfish person in me wants them to keep losing in the first round to take the heat off Calgary. I want that franchise to be known for that till the end of eternity.

Wow, it must be nice to have an effective PP unit. Nice tic tac toe goal there.

The Leafs to me are a better team this year, but part of me really want to keep the streak going. Would find it quite funny if the Leafs disappointed again and somehow lost first round.

Kucherov is looking on his game today. Two great assists in that period.

The best winger in the NHL in my book. Tkachuk, Huberdeau and Gaudreau had bigger seasons in the last couple years. But only Kucherov has been MVP, and he’s just so consistent. And maybe the best in his own end out of the elite scorers.

Yeah, Kucherov is as good as it gets, particularly in the playoffs.

Only reason it looks like other guys have had bigger seasons is because he has been injured. Has averaged 116 points for every 82 games played over the past 4 seasons. Guy is in a league of his own.

Tod Button makes that pick and the Flames likely have a Stanley Cup. One thing is for sure you would never go out signing scoring wingers on the UFA market if you had him and Gaudreau for the past 8 years.

Give hedman a penalty and no leaf? Ok. I dislike TB more than leafs but don’t know about that call.

I thought that call on Hedman was fair. He was clearly trying to instigate something. The penalty kill was smothering though, and the Lightening are rolling now.

I didn't see the play you are referring to but officiating continues to be the big elephant in the room when it comes to the NHL. There is zero standard and zero repercussions for officials doing a poor job.

Just a scrum with a few players involved with some shots thrown on both sides , where nobody stood out.
Moot point given the score I guess, but continues the reffing discussion.

TB’s powerplay flows through their best passer, Kucherov. Weird.

Flames could have also had Vasilevskiy instead of Jankowski.

Blatant hold by Nylander. You have to call that refs.
