Nice to see Pelts with some zest to his game, exactly what we need. Wish more Flames would play with that emotion.

Coronado is definitely not pedestrian. He’s pretty confident with the puck.

Funny skating style though.

It so annoying Sutter sat him the last 10 games.

FFS I really hope he's not back as coach next year

Bison looks like he's headed toward being a gamer . Every shift he's gotten more and more confident and the skill is showing up as the game goes on.

That is a kid thing. Eventually he will learn to be more monotonous.

I would rather watch young fast players who give it their all every shift than old slow dinosaurs with no creativity or offensive instinct any day of the week.

Regardless of the mistakes that will occur with the young players

So refreshing to see Pelts and Coronato going to the middle of the ice and not use the usual junk border play.

Pelletier had 7 points in 23 games.
7 pts in 23 games on what lines? How much icetime? PP or not? You put Huberdeau in those same situations and give him the same icetime and ya, he’ll prob get you 7 points too. Did you watch Kadri the last 50 games? He was horse####. Literally Pelletier was better than him on the second half the year, just not given icetime or opportunities. This is the whole point. You don’t bring a guy up play him 3 mins on line 4 and then say see? Only 1 point in 20 games! Disingenuous. That’s the best word to describe the Flames handling of rookies this year.

I just think it’s a very hard game to get a gauge on Wolf - just because he’s been less busy than any goalie I’ve seen in a long time. Coronato and Pelletier are clearly the guys playing the hardest and you can see skill there.

OTOH, Janko’s 4 goal game keeps coming back to me.

Getting Kylington back hopefully next year helps too.

As soon as he signs the guaranteed contract.

That’s exactly why you have to have kids pushing into the line up. Injects youthful exuberance, energy, work ethic, keeps vets honest. Had none of that this year.
