Tkachuk is so under Kassian's skin there. Even the comment about not fighting fourth liners clearly stuck with him. It just goes to show how effective Tkachuk is at getting into opponents' heads, and how thick and easy to manipulate Kassian is.

Yep. While I wouldn't advocate for targeting his ankle, if his mobility is reduced and he's easier to wear down with lots of hard but clean checks, why not wear him down?

Continued excessive use of an ankle that is sprained can cause lingering and permanent damage. Somehow, it does not surprise me the Oiler doctors are clearing him to play when he is obviously in a lot of pain.
I never predict stuff but if the series is called fairly, the good guys will do well.

Oilers fans are already crowding the market, be weary.. If you have to sell your tickets, snoop around a bit, ask some questions.
So, what’s your favourite local pub?
Who do you prefer, boomer or pander*
(Trick questions will help this along quickly.)
So, that pissy oilers sure is pissy. Am I right?
Iginla is doing a great job as assistant to the gm.
I wish we got Mcdavid or pissy, instead of chucky
Make sure they have some history in their profile on Facebook or what have you.

My hope is Smith will continue to be solid. There’s nothing to suggest he won’t be. He’s playing to what his career playoff numbers have been, around a .930 save percentage. If he’s around that, I think the oilers have a shot in a long series.
But if we have Turris in place of Draisaitl, well ya, we’re in a lot of trouble then, whether Smith plays well or not. I will admit, there’s a lot of “ifs” in my hypotheses. But sticking with Oilers in 7!

Also very interesting to see so many Oilers fans calling the Flames lucky with our lack of injuries. While we have had a really fortunate year injuries wise, can the Oilers not see that running McDavid, Draisatl and Nurse so hard really increases the chances if both nagging and serious injuries?
Gaudreau played 22:44 in the lasta game with almost 4 periods. McDavid played 27:23 in a game that ended in regulation.
It's so surprising and unfair that the Oilers players have to actually be human and have limits in how much they can play before injuries are a concern.

On the Us coverage (TBS maybe?) for game 7, the PBP guy actually went there, saying Draisaitl at 70% or 80, or whatever he said, is still better than most players in the league.
And that was the US ####ing coverage.
This series is going to be absolutely nauseating. But also, glorious.

Yeah, if he keeps playing at .930+ it'll be a long series.
Where Smith has the most trouble is moving laterally. The Kings were unable to get him moving. Hopefully the Flames do a better job of it.

I expect if the Flames continue to throw 40 or 50 shots on net a game, Mike Smith will wear out or those mouldy lasagna noodles that he calls his groin will explode.
Not so bold prediction, we'll see Mikko can't katchinen by game three.

This one will go the distance IMO. I hope to God the Flames win.
It’s impossible to shut him down completely but if they can contain McDavid to 1-2 points/game they should be okay. I think he’s good enough to win them a few games on his own.
That said, this series will come down to special teams. Calgary needs to stay disciplined. The Oilers power play is ridiculously good. If they start taking 4-5 penalties/game they’re hooped. Hopefully the refs put their whistles away a bit here.

They went the distance with the Kings, a rebuilding team that missing 2 of their best players. How on earth can they go the distance with the Flames with almost full rosters?

I liked the panders when I seen 'em at the zoo. Old folks I can take or leave.

When Drysaddle’s body gives out it’ll be interesting to watch them try and play McDavid 40 minutes a night.

I see the Flames doing what the Jets did to the Oil Stains last year. Start putting away your good sweatpants early, they won't be needed much longer.

I sure hope so.
I just want the win, but sweeping them would be a chefs kiss.
