Any news on Tanev and Kylington? With due respect to Stone, if they’re both out that is a big plus for the Greasers.

And you'll get a ton of weak penalty calls.
If the Flames get overly focused on hitting McDavid, we are toast.
Contain McDavid, play him strong positionally and hit him clean when it's there, but don't go hunting.

What are the prevailing odds on this series from the various betting outlets?

Yup, I would love to see someone light him up, but there is a reason why it doesn't happen often. He's just too shifty and you risk making yourself look foolish by missing, or not hitting cleanly and taking a penalty. With his penchant for embellishing and selling calls, it gets even riskier.

Zadorov, who is probably the biggest defensive hitter on the team, doesn't usually run around trying to make the hits - they come to him naturally and he lays them out. Lucic runs at guys trying to hit them but that's usually on the forecheck.

Just contain McDavid, and hit Draisaitl.

I bet Zadorov is pretty sore, too, after that trip and crash.

In case there was any doubt about Draisaitl, it is reported that he had a high ankle sprain. https://############.com/2022/05/16/...ain-in-game-7/
They quote from a medical website in this article that talks about recovery as follows:
How long does a high ankle sprain take to heal?
It might take you six to eight weeks to recover from a high ankle sprain. If you’re an athlete, your return to play might take an even longer time. Low ankle sprains generally heal quicker than this.
Link: https://my.clevelandclinic.org/healt...0foot%20bones.
If Draisaitl is at 60% and working with a really bad leg, then I don't like the Oilers' chances in this series. Their goal would have been to outscore Calgary as they can't out-defend Calgary. McDavid can't play 30 minutes a night at the pace he does without being worn down.

And then the media, and their fans will say a 60% Draisaitl still better than any player on the Flames roster.

He was emptying the tank in game 7, but dude has a pretty big tank. If they play him 27 minutes a night all series, though, there are likely to be some long shifts where he gets trapped defensively and is out of gas.

C'mon, everybody should know by now that we're not going to know the lineup until it is announced just before game time. I don't know why the media keeps asking Sutter this question so I guess it's understandable that people ask about it here.

Reginald Dunlop - are losing your fastball?
Flames in 5 is your well thought out poll answer?
Are you not the Group moderator for the Oilers Haters Club here on CP? The inaugural and most critical (unused) social group this place has?
https://forum.calgarypuck.com/group.php?groupid=1
First series in 31 years and you're going to roll over and concede a Flames loss?
For shame.

Norm!

If Draisaitl is suffering from a high ankle sprain and his agility and skating is effective. You run him over as much as you can and make him suffer until he quits.

As well, McD has 7 points in 4 games this year vs the Sutter Flames. That’s even a little higher percentage than his lifetime stat.

McDavid will get his points. But that's all the Oil have, and it won't be enough.
This series will go as long as Smith can make it - if he stands on his head, it goes 7. Unless he stands on his head, it doesn't.
