You keep saying that yet the same people are posting game after game. Nobody has passes away to my knowledge.

You can't kick a goalie like that
There has been several far worse interference related calls this week.

I had a gf who used to say that and she would pick the stupidest shot to create a fight over so our relationship had passion... so glad I moved on from that crazy b*tch before too long hehe

There are plenty of ways to shownones passions for a team and also to appreciate a game.

Amen. This place will be much better when some people can accept that.

So him handling the puck like a grenade in crunch time is not surprising.
There was one instance where there was a chance for him to reach with his arms and body to corral the puck in the offensive zone by the end boards(not sure if it was a dump in). However he hesitated and allowed the oilers player to get to the puck first. Almost scared to get hit or to stretch to get the puck. When he clearly could have gotten possession. Gio would have went in like a taz devil to get the puck.

Plays like this is what will always separate Hamilton from being a good dman to an elite one. You have to want to win every and all puck battle. Dougie is good player, no doubt about that. However he does lack a certain drive. If he wasn't so passive at times he would be hard to handle with his size.

No big deal when it happened to the Flames, but now that's it happened to the Leafs a couple times and now McDavid personally, it's suddenly a national media crisis.

Yes, or not good at understanding hockey. The Oilers are a poorly built team you don't pick them to win the Cup unless you're drinking the kool-aid which turned out to be a whole bunch of so called experts. Unless you actually believe the Oilers are just that good but are massively under achieving.

I didn't think they were cup contenders...I certainly thought they were a playoff team. Pretty sure you did too...I would like to see your pre-season prediction having them out of the playoffs.

The Oilers are flawed but they have a ridiculously good player and a goal tender who can be really good.

They are also 10-2 against our division

Losing 7 straight is ridiculous but the 5 points lost THIS season are all that matters

I don't give a #### what happened last season

At least I'm entertained by the fact that us and the Bruins are the only teams without a regulation loss in the last 10 games. I would love for that zero to hang on for a bit longer.

We all have to admit though, there is so much to love about Chucky! And plenty of other bright spots this year, when I get too down on things I try to focus on these sort of things and I smile, even in this loss keep in mind, he was injured and came back to be a factor in the game, how awesome was that and how bad could the night have been without that happening.

Sometimes it’s all a matter of perspective.

Yeah I caught that too and it pisses me off. The Coach sets the culture for the team, and in casually accepting this loss (and yet another blown lead) GG is basically telling the fans and players that it was not an important game. If rivalry games / big games are meaningless, this team will never get out of the first round.

I try not to do this, but I always compare with my own experiences coaching minor hockey. We really emphasize “big games” and the need to beat your rivals in order to set the tone/ culture for the team, and be able to prepare for elimination games in tournaments & playoffs.

But maybe that’s why I’m a Peewee coach and not an NHL coach.

Hmm. Kings found a way to win on a B2B with their back up goalie even though they’d been playing poorly. Flames didn’t need excuses in these last 2 games.

Here's the thing about Bennett.

He sucks. He sucks really badly. He shouldn't be anywhere near OT or PP ice.
