Yep, The Preds have everything you need for a good solid Stanley Cup run. Goaltending, Solid Defense and forward Depth with skill and speed. I was hoping for a Nashville v Washington cup final after Calgary was eliminated.
But now I see Ducks v Preds and Pens v Ott. but would not mind seeing the Rags play the Preds. I just don't want to see the damn Oilers anywhere near the SCF.
Edit: I just want to see PK win a cup to smite the idiot Canadiens.

Rinne worries me as he's been up and down over the past few seasons but as long as he continues his sharp play there's a lot to like about that team and the way they play.

Poopy? Is that where we're at now?
Honestly I did find it comical. If you polled both fan bases on how they'd feel on a straight-up, 1 for 1 trade - Draisaitl for Bennett - I have a hunch which group would be more up in arms and which would be more in favour. Draw your own conclusions.

Probably although it would be nice to see what Bennett could do playing on McDavid's wing and how Draisaitl would be centering Lance Bouma and Troy Brouwer. He's arguably the best open ice hitter on the Flames roster and lets not forget he's almost a year younger than Draisaitl. I have a feeling this comparison will take years before a real conclusion can be made.

True, but what if it's the same 1-for-1 with Puljujarvi and Tkachuk? I bet Oilers fans would be sounding the same way you're saying Flames fans sound like with Drai/Bennett. That's the way that stuff goes.

But the question wasn't about that. It was about Drai and Bennett.
And if people think it's too early to weigh in on that comparison, then it's REALLY too early for the other. Personally, I'm more than happy to see what Puljujärvi becomes - I do believe his top end is much higher than Tkachuk's, but that's probably to be expected.

We're all biased towards our own prospects - human nature. It's why I try not to get too bent out of shape about what I read on here - just different sides of the same coin.

Watched that 'offside' a dozen times.
There is no process that currently exists that overturns that goal, nor should there be. If his skate was a few mm off the ice, you can't tell and that should never take away a goal anyway.
Definitely nothing to see there

As one of the contracts that the Oilers are going to have to dump, I'm sure they're not really happy with his level of play. He looks more like a 2 million dollar player then a 6 million dollar player and nobody is going to take that contract for that player at full value.

His 2 successive bailouts and giveaway directly resulting in the Ducks first goal were cringe worthy. He looked like the scaredest of scaredy cats.
Remarkably horrid sequence for any NHL forward, let alone alone a 6 mil per annum one in a crucial playoff game.

Agree 100%. There is zero chance that gets overturned on replay.
The first goal, yeah, I could see that going either way. There was a bump, but it was to the part of Talbot outside the crease, Perry was definitely bumped prior to that towards Talbot, and Perry is a master of making it look like he was trying to get out of the way (the spin off as he was going by). Not surprised it didn't get overturned.
The icing complaint is just a joke. Yes the back linesman put up his hand to indicate icing, just like he was supposed to. Then the closer linesman witnessed Klefbum not attempt to play the puck on the way by, look at the rushing Duck before then turning the wrong way to chase the puck into the corner. That gets waived off probably 90% of the time, and was waived off well before Klefbum made a meh play in the corner, super-awesome-Hall-replacement gave the puck away with a weak clear attempt, and nobody on the Coilers covered Silvferburg.

It does factor in, yes.
Incidental contact, outside of the crease, results in a good goal.
The correct call was made. And it was clear as day. I just don't understand where all the consternation is coming from (not talking about Oiler fans, I am talking about the media)

I don't think that with Perry that contact is incidental though, he wasn't pushed into the goal, he went to the front of the net and was slightly nudged after initiating contact himself and then managed to nudge the goaltender again just as he was attempting to make a save. It could have gone either way, but if it went against the Flames people here would be up in arms over a conspiracy theory.

You're suggesting that skate on skate wasn't incidental?
That's a stretch.

People are actually debating Draisaitl vs. Bennett? This one is obvious.
Yeah, I'd take Tkachuk over Pulju but it's not about that. Drai is much better.

If you're talking about Dry Saddle right now or this year vs. Bennett, then it's not really close, you have to go with the Greaser. Bennett is younger and still shows glimpses that he has a lot of potential, but if you have to pick one right now it's not very close.

It's a wonder how ridiculous their system is to me. For the 38 minutes or whatever that mcdingus isn't out there, it's just survival. Just go through the motions and don't get scored on. For the other 22 minutes, it's take every chance you can and pray to McJesus that Talbot bails you out of any mistakes.
Also, I don't know if today was a usual game from Draisaitl but the guys arguing that Bennett is better than him might actually have a point. Guy was awful tonight.
Go ducks

Guy is usually very invisible. Skates hard and plants himself in the corner and wait for McDavid to get him the puck lol. Decent complimentary player, but he is nowhere near a line driver.
