Wonder why that wasn't a penalty shot, Poirier was well ahead of Cundari and was tripped. It's a 2 min PP for the Heat.

pretty much. The heat won the opening faceoff, brought it into the SJ end and it went the other way for a goal.

Two games in and Kenney Morrison hasn't played yet. Was hoping he'd draw in tonight.

All kinds of chances, just can't bury it.

Aaron Dell is irritating me. Seems like every time I listen to a Flames/Heat AHL game the other teams goalie stands on his head. Pisses me right off.

That was a great goal by SJ. Only had an inch under the bar to hit and he did.

traded penalties and neither side had much going on the 4 on 4.

Brutal game for the Heat. Our defense just can't move the puck out at all. It's a combination of bad passes and bad choices to go with the Barracuda's relentless forecheck.

This is easily the worst camera work I have ever seen

During the PP, he simply gave up trying to track the puck and left the camera focused on the slot

The AHL schedule is crazy. There are teams that have played 5 games already. The Heat don't play game #5 until Oct 30th.

They travel to Texas for their next game, which is on Wed, and then they sit in Texas until Sat when they play a 2nd game.

Then their next game is the following Fri in San Diego - do they go home in between? One would think so.

Once in SD, they play 2 games in 2 days (which makes a bit more sense).

Then home the following Fri.

So they have a 4 game road trip in 3 cities that lasts 11 days, and they have a 15 day break between home games.

At some point the schedule will pick up I assume? Or is it this spotty all year?
