Is this funny? I think so, but I'm also mildly uncomfortable and cringing the entire time. Comedy is pretty subjective. There is a through line of a joke here, but the performative oddball stuff is pretty distracting. I'd be interested to hear some thoughts from y'all.

I think he’s funny. The performative aspect doesn’t really add anything and I can see how it would be distracting. He’s a bit of a throwback to the 80s when comics had characters like Bobcat and Judy Tenuta. It doesn’t fit in that well with modern standup.

Yup, that tracks. Perhaps that's why I enjoy it. I like a little weird in my comedians.

I didn't find him funny. Got through the first 3 minutes waiting, and then jumped through the rest... But like you said, different strokes!
I thought he was funny. I've seen that guy on Taylor Tomlinson's show a few times and he's usually pretty good.
I don't know that I would say there's anything "oddball" about his performance. Not every comedian just stands at the mic. A lot act out their scenes like that. I mean Acastor, just above, is a good example of that. He's very physical in his performance.

New Bill Burr special "Drop Dead Years" is out on Hulu and Disney+. I really enjoyed it. He's always been really consistent and this one is a great continuation of how he's evolved as a person without losing the ranting ability that makes him so great. Also, Calgary is mentioned as a part of one of his jokes in the set.

Really good! I liked it!

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
I like Tim Heidecker's acting, but I tried to watch An Evening With Tim Heidecker and had to turn it off almost immediately after he started purposely fumbling the microphone.
Was it that painfully forced through the whole show?
