I watched it again against my better judgement. It's still terrible!

Watched X-3 last night again for the first time in a long time... ya it was pretty bad, but there were some pretty good parts still.

Kelsey Grammar as Beast was still one of the best casting choices in the series.

I also watched First Class the other night for the first time in a long time, and it wasn't as good as I remembered. The strongest parts are still surrounding Fassbender, especially that scene in the bar.. but overall the movie was a bit cheesier than I remember.

X-2 is still my favourite.

For some reason I kept thinking James McAvoy was Jeremy Renner in these clips and I was wondering what Hawkeye was doing with the X-Men.

Tatum's alright and I've given up being too critical of casting choices so we'll see how it works out. Gambit is a tough character to pull off, he can easily sway into the cartoony if done improperly. Be interesting to see how he fits in with the New Class group of guys.

Also more Age of Apocalypse thoughts... AoA is such a big story it would be interesting if it was a two parter. Wouldn't mind seeing back-to-back X-Men films.

Isn't Gambit French? Hope Channing Tatum can pull off the accent. Also, unrelated, who the hell names their kid "Channing"?

Gambit's from Louisiana and has a thick Cajun accent.

Tatum is from Alabama and already kind of has a mumbling southerner thing going on, just needs to draw it out a bit more.

Yeah but it's at Sunridge! Are those even good cinemas? I'm going to the Palo Alto Eau Claire one at 9:00 AM. Trashy theatre but then I can do it during work hours.
Mine's at Chinook.

He needs a cajun accent. It was probably a toss-up between Tatum and Mcconaughtoughtospell.

I think Tatum would be good. Interesting to see them add a relatively high-profile name to the cast. Most XMen actors are relative unknowns that gain popularity following the movies. A few exceptions obviously (Stewart, McKellen, McAvoy, Fassbender) other than that, most were on their way up at the time.

No one gets into a character better than the way Heath Ledger got into the Joker's head.

Channing Tatum should follow suit and eat a lot of catfish / po'boy, party at Mardi Gras and become a table slut at the World Poker Tournament.

Yeah, Fassbender is probably on the list of guys cast that didn't become high profile until after they became X-Men. He's exploded since then.

I'm of the opinion scripts and production are way more important than the cast unless it's a character piece which x-men most certainly is not. Acting isn't that hard, I bet Channing Tatum could pulloff Gambit just fine if they actually write a script that is part of the story.

Currently sitting at 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, 40 fresh and 2 rotten. So cannot wait!

I'm gonna buy some tickets tonight. I honestly can't say I've ever been this excited to see a movie. Maybe Spiderman when I was like 12.

Good idea to buy some tickets now.

GD when is this 3D thing going to end, I want to see the quality of digital projection but don't want to see it in 3D.
