And why would the Broncos bring in Dallas Clark to go along side Peyton Manning, if it wasn't to catch passes? Considering he has been one of the best receiving tight ends over a long stretch and his speed is unmatched at the position. It probably needs to be said in response to that, his blocking ability was never something the Colts had to hide or was a a weakness in his game.

Manning overwhelmingly the desired QB, especially in Colorado where it is 4:1. Higher than anywhere else in the poll.

Wow, I just saw the Skins and Rams trade. The Rams have to be pretty ecstatic to have received so much and only slide down a couple of picks.

I am absolutely STUNNED that the Skins are giving that much up to move 4 spots in the draft.....yikes.
If the Rams nail down the right guys with that bounty and their own picks, they could set themselves up for the next decade.
I still dont think Manning will go to Denver, its just not the kind of climate he has ever had to play home games in. Arizona will still make a very serious pitch for him and i also believe the Texans will as well.

This is not going to drag on re: Peyton. Teams have a very short window to make their pitch, especially with Manning looking to sign before Tuesday.

I think if the Texans make a pitch then they will get him. It makes perfect sense for Manning. However, I really don't think they will make a play for him. The one thing that could change that though is if Matt Schaub hasn't recovered from his lisfranc injury by the start of the season.

Regarding the Redskins/Rams deal, Fisher and Snead deserve a lot of credit for getting EXACTLY what they asked for and more. Snyder overpaid big time and pretty much mortgaged the future of the Redskins for RGIII, anything less than three consecutive Cam Newton rookie season will cause riots in Washington.

Denver is fairly overrated as a cold weather city. Lots of 60 and 70 degree days in December.
Of course, there is always that potential for a foot of snow in September as well.

I understand that, but he has played in Knoxville which is a warm weather city for the majority of the season and in a dome...and with his precision game, he needs a somewhat controlled enviroment to be as successful as he can.
Beyond that i would assume that climate control and or heat/humidity would play a large part in keeping his injured neck/arm area loose and in best operating shape.
Just some things i think he has to consider beyond talent around him and paycheque amounts.

Kiper has the Rams taking Claiborne at 6 in an updated mock draft
but mentions they may trade down if Blackmon isn't there (he has him going at 4 to the Browns)

I see he still has the Bucs taking Richardson at 5... I'd be pleased with that.

I've seen a lot of Mock drafts where Richardson falls outside the top 10. But I think any of Tampa, Cleveland or St.Louis could look at him. If he's still on the board at 11 the Chiefs should think about taking him, or finding a team like the Jets to trade with who could really use him.

ya I think Richardson is going to be great
Risky to take a guy that high at a position where so many of the top guys are later round picks but I think Richardson is more AP/McFadden than Spiller/Moreno

Houston doesn't have the cap space to make it work.

Ya, I would be pretty happy to draft him. I like Blount, but I'm still not sure he's a long term, every down back... The guy does not warm up until halftime. And it would be pretty awesome to have them as a duo.
I'd also be pleased if they took Claiborne with that pick, Ronde can't play forever. I didn't know a lot about Schiano at the time of the hire, but I'm certainly warming up to him and I think he'll be able to mould all of these young players to be a mentally tough group.

Probably don't need to air my personal frustration over an article on CP, it's just been a long few months about all the fake retirement reports, he can't throw the ball 20 yards or to one side of the field and just unnamed source after unnamed source. So far Jason Cole has been the king of these reports and I was hoping they were done.

So you hate pretty much all sports reporting then, got it.
There have been no concrete statements from anyone on this matter, not sure what you expect when the only parties who could make a definitive statement on the matter have gone out of their way to do so.

I'd say I'm certainly sick of the TMZ, unnamed sources sports reporting to say the least. But that is the 24/7 sports hour world we now live in, and I've learned to accept a lot. The author of this article has just spewed a lot of stuff during this entire offseason about Manning that have been proven wrong.
The respected NFL talking heads have gone ahead and talked to the people that have been involved in the throwing sessions, talked to Bill Polian, doctors with credentials and names that are close to the situation.
It's a little bit of personal venting which is silly to do on CP considering it doesn't add much to the thread. I just really didn't take to the author who wrote it or the wording of it. For example, "Manning only through the ball once over 40 yards" and then talk about how he's going to have to show more then that. This quote insinuates that during any workout he's only thrown one deep ball during an entire workout or someone who's watched him. Instead it's coming from just watching a youtube video like the rest of us.
Anyways, I don't feel like I added anything to the thread by posting the article or my rant after, so I'll let it end now.

Manning is on his way to Arizona to meet with the Cardinals and then will return back to Miami. All the reports coming out of Miami from the local writers and media have been very strong and that there was a lot of communication even today.
