But I thought based on the rules we couldn't bet over and above the original 30?

you still have the original 30, you can't bring in more chips or exceed a total of 60.
Or else you'd never be able to bet chips from your hand.

Not a big deal at this point though, it's pretty much game over for me

Oh no don't worry, it didn't change the outcome of the game at all.

Once I put the 6 in the second spot instead of the 8 it was over.

Good game HG - I stressed a TON over my line up.

I think the best strategy was getting chips early and leaving 1s near the end, which we both obviously came to the conclusion. I figured you would have that figured out, so I tried to think of the best way to combat that. My conclusion was to stack 9 and 8 right out of the gate with as many chips as possible. The only really good counter to that would have been 8, 9, which I thought was unlikely, or 0,1, which again I didn't think was likely.

And the funny thing is, the first time I drew up my lineup, I almost had the exact same as what you submitted - so we were both thinking very much along the same lines.

Yeah I didn't think you would go top heavy.

I had 9, 8, 7, 6 but then I switched to 9, 6, 7, 8.

I thought you would fold round 1 and then call round 2. Then hoping I was bluffing call the next couple.

Really all you need to do is win enough in the first couple rounds and then coast the rest of the way. That switch killed me though.
