Tomb Raider being an Xbox exclusive is kind of bummer news for PS4 owners.
PS4 is having a good show themselves too.
Kind of felt XBox One was going to win this one, but PS4 went and accounced new exclusives and SharePlay.
SharePlay is huge. Local multiplayer over online if only one person has the game. So game sharing pretty much. Want to play NHL against your buddy but he doesnt have it, doesn't matter you can play local multiplayer off of your system.

Yeah, remember when the original Tomb Raider reboot almost sold 4 million copies but was considered a complete flop based on their own unreasonable internal estimates?
Now they're getting all this negative backlash everywhere (the Tomb Raider forums are looking ugly) and removed their game from 2/3 of the current generation console market. Maybe even 3/4 of the next gen market by the time the game finally comes out in 2015.
They're refusing to clarify if the exclusivity is just timed - which I'm guessing confirms that it is indeed just timed. But I assume their lack of PR discussion is part of the Microsoft cash deal. A "Definitive" edition for PS4 in early 2016 perhaps?
The first time I've legitimately been jealous as a PS4 only owner. Sony said that DLNA support is coming but haven't given a timeframe nor if they'll support .mkv files
Asked to clarify the specific terms of the Rise of the Tomb Raider deal, Spencer wouldn't be budged on the "Holiday 2015" line, despite developer Crystal Dynamics suggesting its game won't be coming to PC and PS4.
Neither would the exec comment on the wording, "exclusively on Xbox", which could suggest an Xbox 360 version of the game is also in development.
"We're saying what we said on stage," said Spencer. "In Holiday 2015, Rise of the Tomb Raider will be exclusive to Xbox. That's the comment.
Bloodborne looks crazy good. Most interesting PS4 exclusive to me.

So Microsoft hasn't learned anything from their piss-poor PR and messaging around the Xbox One launch. People want solid answers to yes or no questions and they refuse to give that, there's just no reason to be that hostile to consumer curiosity especially when they're lagging so far behind the competition

Instead of trying to moneyhat exclusives from 3rd party developers, I wish Microsoft would take that money and invest it in actual first party developers and studios themselves. Come up with their own games and IP's, not throw money trying to keep games from showing up on other platforms.
That is the thing, Sony is already at least on par (and likely ahead) with Microsoft from a games perspective right now but haven't even flexed their first party muscle yet.
Today they announced firmware 2.0 and 9 games in an hour presentation, and didn't even break out the big first party studios.
Announced these games:
The Tomorow Children (Q Games. PS4)
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter (The Astronauts. PS4, PC)
Volume (Mike Bithell Games. PS4, Vita, PC, Mac)
Hollowpoint (Paradox Interactive. PS4, PC)
Hellblade (Ninja Theory. Only announced for PS4, presumably we'll see Xbox One later)
P.T. (7780s Studio. PS4)
Tearaway Unfolded (Media Molecule. PS4)
Alienation (House Marquee. PS4)
Wild (Wild Sheep Studios. PS4)
Which was a good but not great list but then you dig deeper and we haven't seen any thing from these studios yet:
Japan Studio
Guerilla Games
Guerilla Cambridge
Media Molecule (Tearaway technically but that is a port)
Santa Monica
Polyphony Digital
Studio London
Bend
Quantic Dream
Plus they didn't focus on games they already had shown at E3 and their biggest first party developer (Naughty Dog) has only shown a brief clip of a game coming in 2015.
Sony is winning the battle right now with just their strong 3rd party/indie relationships, which is huge since it will allow them to be patient with their first party games.
Microsoft had a good day today with some of their announcements and some neat firmware updates, but in the end Sony still didn't allow them to catch up due to great announcements of their own.
These addons should be made to entice more people to play not to charge the consumer more money. They leave out parts of the game so they can sell them to you later
