I get what Barger is thinking, but a one hop liner to left isn’t scoring him there. He has to know the situation there and hold up on anything in the air.

As Caleb Joseph said, the LF had moved in for Giminez. Barger didn’t recognize that at any point before or during that hit.

No, inexcusable and over eager play. You are playing for Springer to win you the game with one swing.

Starting playoff Kershaw would be the self-own of the century.

Playoff baseball. Regular season baseball is pretty lackluster. Not sure why they don't do a 16 team playoff. But i guess they need their 200 game regular season....

Yes he does. But his energy is understandable in the situation, and the ball looked like a hit off the bat. But the fielder was charging in hard a d as a result, it was a really short throw.
Easy to say he should have waited but the whole situation was very unusual and happened very fast. One step too many where it wouldn't have been too many in most situations

Just had to point out that George Springer was our best offensive player tonight, playing with only one oblique working and in extreme pain with every swing.
Goddam it. What a player. You have to admire someone like that when they commit in the playoffs. What an inspiration. I hope he's okay for tomorrow.

Jays should still feel pretty confident, they've outplayed the Dodgers for a strong majority of the series. Dodgers bats weren't even great tonight, but they came through when they got their look like they did in Game 2 against Gausman. Ohtani is gonna need to pitch great cause that Dodger pen is a disaster waiting to happen.

Ya I get it, crazy scenario and I get what he’s doing. I still think it’s a mistake, but I also think Barger has been brilliant and he’ll be back out there making a positive impact in game 7.
