Well impressive is a word you could use for the young phenom. 7 innings, 14 strike outs, 4 hits and 2 runs allowed. I think any game that Strasberg is pitching is going to draw a pretty good crowd too.

Stephen Strasburg had another good outing this afternoon had a bit of control issue but still struck out 8 in little less than 6 innings of work. . He's 2nd alltime for most strikouts in his first two starts.

I watched the Nationals/Indians yesterday, there was a serious issue with the mound.

Strasburg would plant his front foot and it would slide another 3-6 inches, almost to the point of hyper-extending his knee. You could really see it alter his pitches.

How about that Cubs/Sox game? Both pitchers taking no hitters into the 7th inning, and one going into the 9th.

Ahhhh my hero .... hence the name NickerJones .... so sad... I was planning on going to Spring Training next year just to see the man one last time in Spring Training. Guess I will have to find a way to make a game this year . I guess your heros cant play forever.

Here is the article from the Braves site, along with a short video interview with Chipper.

Stephen Strasburg had another strong outing. Tonight vs. the White Sox he 10 K's in 7 IP with 1 ER against. He may take the loss since the Nationals are not giving him any run support.

As I typed that Adam Dunn doubled to deep Center. Ryan Zimmeran scores. All tied at 1.

Yeah 32 strike outs in his first 3 starts to set a new record. Hopefully he doesn't fall apart in the middle of his career like Doc Gooden did. Whatever the Nats paid him in bonus money, he's pretty much made it back with the crowds he drew in his first few starts.

Anyone here think Roy Halladay could be cursed? He gets his trade to the Phillies, and so far he's averaging just under 8 innings per start thru 15 games and has a 2.43 ERA, a WHIP of just over 1 and a perfect game to his credit. He also only has a record of 8-6 and the Phillies are only 35-32 and trail the leader of their Division by more games than his old team the Blue Jays, who co-incidentally have a better record. At least for him the Phillies are only 3 games out of the Wild Card in the mediocre NL.

Strasburg had another strong outing this afternoon. 6.0 IP, 9 SO, and 1 ER. He may take the loss due to no run support.

Why did sportsnet not change over to it? The Jays game was over - maybe it was some kind of rights things, but I've never seen a no-hitter end live ... would have been cool. Oh well!
