Wow, how about the Sea of Red tonight? I still can't believe how good it always looks. Gives me chills. Probably one of the best and impressive fan participation things in sports.

Even more amazing than the Sea of Red, next game Calgary should endorse the "Sea of See-Through".

it looked incredible on tv, except for the losers rocking white. someone should just buy a box of red t's and bring them in and hand them out...the losers in white stand out so much, and look bad. wear your white to any game 2-41, the home opener and playoffs are red, and red only.

I simply don't get the morons who choose to wear something that isn't red to a playoff game.
That being said, its bad enough when people wear a white jersey instead, but the worst are those who wear like a blue or green jacket the whole game.

I honestly think people think theyre being cool by going against the grain and wearing their white jersey because "I own a jersey, why should I spend money on a new one just because it's red!?"
I refuse to believe that someone could attend a game and (a) not know that everyone wears red or (b) honestly not know, but upon discovery of this fact, go and but at least a red shirt from the fan attic.

i dont get it either, but in fairness, they could be fans of the opposition, family/friends of the opposition, fans/family of the officials...or corporate guests...usually there a few hundred holds per game for things like this
most fans of the flames have their red on...

I actually find it hilarious that you guys get so bent out of shape about 2 people wearing non-red...I watched the game on TV and it looked 99% red..I wasn't thinking..."wow, that c of red is ruined by that guy in the white right there"...who really cares. Truth is most people just bought their jerseys in 2004 and never wore a Flames jersey before that anyways. The C of red still looked pretty awesome. Those 2 people didn't ruin it. Let it go.

You should see the absolutely most annoying couple in the entire Flames fan world. When you pass 20 you aren't supposed to act like a spoiled 12 year old anymore. Tonight, these die-hard fans couldn't help but try to draw even more attention to themselves in a GREY and GREEN Flames practice jerseys. Considering they boast about their massive jersey colletion all the time I knew several people who just wanted to slap them. Another good reason... every game they leave their seats in 222 with <5 minutes left in the third regardless of the score and head to the aisle closest to the Flames players enterance. Why? So they can try and catch the 3-stars stick. EVERY GAME! I laughed whole heartedly when they got rejected by both Nolan and CuJo. Absolutely shameless and frankly disgusting. GROW THE FRICK UP!

That is just shocking behaviour. You should bludgeon them with thundersticks.

And then there's the always present "why is it such a big deal", "let it go", "you guys take this too seriously" poster.
It's just for fun and everything but, next time someone is at a game and sees someone wearing a blue jacket or a green t-shirt go and ask them why they made that choice. As Mel said, it could be legit, Im just curious what the thought process is.

Maybe on TV it looked that way, but at the dome you could clearly see hundreds not wearing red, it was awful. Oh well, things will get better.

If you knew half the crap these two pull you might rethink your post. There is a reason the team snuck out throught the kitchen after the Molson Cup luncheon. A reason with 2 names....

And what if he says he just likes the jacket?

Im just curious. I really dont understand why someone wouldnt wear red to the game... even if it's a red, non-Flames t-shirt. Im not a season ticket holder and I dont get that into it, I just wonder. Are people purposely rejecting the trend, do they think theyre being funny, are they oblivious, what?

whatever..the sea of red is cool, but i couldn't care less once the game starts. Those dumb thundersticks are more annoying than the guy in a white jersey cheering his heart out.

My favorite thing was when the Saddledome did the makeover thing during a commericial break. The announcer said something to the affect of "this person obviously wan't aware of the dress code, so lets get him dressed up", and you could see everyone in our section that wasn't wearing red kind of put their heads down in shame, lol.
