Many sth sell tickets if they can't make it, i sold mine to someone who turned out to be an oiler fan, I didn't ask before selling who they cheer for, we welcome fans of the other teams, part of the fun is seeing sad oiler fans, unfortunately we lost this time.

I totally understand what you mean, was watching the Stamps against Riders game yesterday, and see all those fans came to the game with their Riders jersey. They were cheering loud and hard at the start of the game with smirky grin on their faces, then as the Stamps were pounding their team the grins turned into frown. And with more than 5 minutes left in the game, they all starting to leave. And that is satisfying.

I’m sure every fan base complains about rival fans getting their hands on tickets. Nothing new.

I understand STH wanting to sell their tickets when they can’t make it, but on TV it sounded like the Oil were at home whenever they scored! So I misspoke, it’s not just on STH. Why on earth aren’t Flames fans fortunate to live in the same city as their team not filling that place on a Saturday night against the Oil!

No amount of money would make me knowingly sell tickets to an Oilers fan for a game at the dome.
The problem now is if you can't go and you post the tickets on secondary sites, their is no way of knowing who the buyer is.
Last night sounded extra ridiculous than usual, on tv. Oil fans can puff their chest out a bit more and probably more open to going than usual because of last season.
They'll only be one thing we can do to get this garbage under control and thats by winning the whole ****ing thing.
We will see a lot less Oiler garbage next year when we play them if thats the case.

I think for some they see it as an easy way to cash in just like when the Leafs and Canadiens show up.

I don't welcome Oiler fans as 95% of them act like total clowns

I never commented on Markstrom so I don’t see how that’s relevant.

What teams stars outscore McDavid?
You beat them as a team...already did once. 5-2

Sell your tickets to who ever you’d like, I have no problem with it. For every ticket sold, you’d like to think there is a10:1 ratio of Flame fans looking to buy it. With the built in advantage of season ticket holders keeping their tickets who will almost all be Flames fans, it’s sad how evenly split the crowd was.

mate ... this is a cardinal sin . do not sell your tix to oiler fans ever, under any circumstance
no canuck fans no oiler fans .. and no leafs fans! it's poor choices like this how we wind up with a 60-40 split in our own building which is the worst . a sprinkling of opponents fans that's fine but STHs like yourself are contaminating the C of red. Booo

yeah this is also kind of pathetic . if there's ANY game you would attend..... you think it would be a Saturday night vs their arch rival . what are you doing with season tickets if you're not going to these ones??

End of the day those tickets get big dollars and go a long way to paying of seasons tickets. If you don't like it then go to more BOA's and buy the tickets before "they" do

Things come up, people have to sell tickets. No point in shaming any one for doing what they have to do.
I would think there are more Edmontonians living in Calgary based on migration for jobs than there are Calgrians living in Edmonton.
Have never seen actual facts, but with head offices in Calgary I would guess the impact is double.
More fans of the Oilers that are local than the other way around.

I think this is nonsense. I might agree if Markstrom played poorly, let in an early goal or at any point looked shaky, but he didn't. On the whole, Markstrom had a great game, and he looked poised and confident pretty much from start to finish. The goal scored by McHobo was an unfortunate mistake, but if that same game happened v. ANY other team we would not be talking about Markstrom's lack of confidence, or inability to perform.
I think what is going on is that Markstrom is still getting into form, and it has been exceedingly difficult going this year because of how much layoff there has been for him between games, and because he has yet to play on the road. The schedule has been the culprit behind a lot of the Flames's early kinks, and they cannot get on the road and in a rhythm of playing every second night soon enough. Once they do, then I have no doubt that little mistakes like we saw from Markstrom in the third period will correct themselves.

Sub .900 save percentage through 3 whole seasons against one team. Tell yourself whatever you want but there has been ample opportunity, under a variety of different conditions for markstrom to prove he's not impacted differently against the oilers but he has been incapable of doing so. Even going back to his Vancouver time he was not good against the oilers. I think we should just accept it and play vladar against them. Who cares, we can and will beat them with vladar and Marky can continue to play well against other teams.

Flames should have scored more goals...they had more than enough chances. Holding the Oilers to 3 (all flukes) is usually a win. The double shorthanded goals would have sealed it IMO...instead they tie it right after.Vladar has an .896 save percentage this season, it's not like he has back to back shutouts...he got more run support.
Vladar almost certainly wouldn't have won that game 2-1. It's pretty silly to assume he would have because he won the first game when the Flames scored FOUR goals.
