Another good win by the boys. Once the first line develops some chemistry, watch out.

Really like the look of our second line and our D. Looks like we might have 2 starting goalies as well which is a massive bonus. Vlader was an awesome pickup last year.

Powerplay looks really good too.

Any thoughts on the top line? It looks like they haven’t really completely gelled yet. But not far off. Just seems like they haven’t quite figured things out yet. Huberdeau is quite a different player from Gaudreau. So might take Lindholm a bit and Toffoli is also new to the line.

Other thing I’d like to see them try is swapping Rooney and Lewis.

Really like Dube this season. I think this is going to be a step change year for him like Mangiapane last year.

Yeah, I've read some real impatient thoughts about the 1st line in a few places. It's two games in. Have some patience .

IMO, they're well on their way. That 1st PP is a onetmer away from being absolutely dominant.

Their 5v5 has been developing nicely through two games. You can see where they're headed. Just hang on a bit.

Huberdeau is looking GREAT on the PP. but not so much 5 on 5. Seems like they are doing a lot of dump and chase which I don’t think is going to be effective.

The only time I was particularly worried was when the Flames got really hemmed in on a very long (I think) shift around 8 min in the second period...seems like they were trapped in their end for .... ever. But, in the end, they didn't give up much in the way of really good 10-bell chances, Vladar did what he should, everyone checked the Oilers well...and eventually worked the puck back up the ice. Great to see!

Bit of a butt-cheek clencher at the end of the game as you knew the Wonder Twins were going to throw everything at the net. Great checking spoiled that. Loved it!

Only real downside for me was the slow reax on the (mostly) Huby passes. He's so fast on them I don't think either Lindy or TyToff was really set for them. Not the case with the fast bumps from Kadri on the PP though.

Lewis is about the only player out of place in the line up. He's a guy I think that could be replaced by Zary on that line.dont know who Lewis takes out on the 4th line but it's a small simple move like that that could warrant a look.

Backs is also a wicked hand holder for young guys coming into a full time role in the NHL. Did it with Tkachuk.

Yes, I've liked Rooney, Lucic and Ritchie, but Lewis has been wanting.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Ruzicka get a look on the third line too

The one thing that excites me about this Flames team is the high end depth. If the Flames are getting 87pts in 71 games Kadri then I think this team has 2 legit 1st lines. I also believe that when you look at Hanifin-Anderson and Weegar-Tanev you have 2 legitimate top pairs on many teams. The Oilers and Avs have 2 of the top 5 players in the league on their team and whine the Flames can’t match the star power they have the best depth, defense and goaltending.

Oooohh mufffiinn stop!! Your mood swings after you’ve been out drinking and at your shows are just too much! You are much too angry these days. Take a chill-pill, you know, one of your Xanex ones!

I’d say we’re verging on two starting goalies too.

It seemed like there were more Flames fans that made the trip up North than usual. When Kadri scored the place sounded like it erupted.

I really want to not like Lewis, mostly because I’d like to see a ‘quick on the forecheck, D-man punishing, speedy bruiser’ in that spot, but he is really effective.
