Good enough for fourth line for sure, when Frolik returns.

Meh. It's off the ice and people are, in fact, still "human" eh?

Just because they're on opposite teams doesn't mean they need to act like pigs (partisans of certain political parties to the south of us notwithstanding thinking that is the only way to act).

Many players and coaches are friends off ice -- what's your problem with it?

What a great game to come home from. Dougie capped the win off in regulation time perfectly! Karma to pull that out vs the hated Ducks and that scoundrel of a ref #12 St. Pierre, what a dirtbag.
Huge win for Red.

Actually saw him give Getzlaf a tap the shift after the brawl, but Getzlaf continued on and Brouwer spent his energy keeping up with the play for the rest of his shift.

I'd love to see the Corsi and advanced stat numbers by line tonight.

Bennett and Jankowski were flat out dominant tonight. Could have had a few points each.

Meh. Bieksa is better off on the ice making boneheaded plays. If Bieksa actually does something, maybe then.

Yeah sure, Frolik wasn't exactly setting the world on fire either though

I would upgrade the right side

Dirty play of the Ducks starts and ends with Ryan Getzlaf he's their example. Great player but he's a stab you in the back kinda guy he'll chop you down and try to hurt you every chance he gets.

Last year's team would have lost that game in regulation... huge character win, and the two points doesn't hurt either. Love that Dougie got the GWG.

By the way, Sam Bennett gave up 3 inches and almost 15 pounds to Manson and he still KO'ed him...

P.S. WTF refs?

Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf wonders when calls will go his way

Quote:
“The penalty calls and stuff in this league now, it’s hit or miss,” Getzlaf said. “I go into corners and take nine times the beating that some of these guys take and they don’t call penalties. It’s just a matter of what they want to see. And it’s not the referee’s fault.

“It’s just the way the league is going now. They want all this nickel and dime stuff called all the time. And it’s frustrating as players because we’re trying to produce, we’re trying to play and you end up getting three, four power plays in the last five minutes of the game. That’s not right.”
Quote:
Asked about Getzlaf’s irritation with how games are being officiated, Ducks coach Randy Carlyle looked at his goalie, John Gibson, getting bumped around by the Oilers and sympathized with his center about perceived inconsistencies.

“Well, I get irritated too but it doesn’t do you any good,” Carlyle said. “Obviously, we felt that there were some liberties being taken towards our goaltender in those two situations where people are going to the net and pushing people in.

“To me, the situation could have been resolved much quicker with one warning to say that’s it and it would have been all over. I’m not saying there had to be a penalty there but just control the situation and it shouldn’t be allowed to continue, that’s all.”

Getzlaf is almost as much of a bitch and loser as Kesler, Bieksa & Perry.

Fack him.
