What I love about that is essentially it almost cancels out the 2nd of the 2nd round picks since we are likely to be a late round pick (serious contender) while the Islanders may be a very high round pick (post Tavares nonplayoff team). This is really a 1st and a 2nd next year for Hamonic.

Well, that certainly makes the D a strength for a long time.

I think the Flames should just use all their picks for home run style long shots. If there is anyone in the mould of Johnny or Ondrej Palat available, skill with obvious flaws, that's all they should take so that way they can balance out the lack of higher picks.
