The band says they are missing a bunch of crew members still.

everything points to them making it out safely. The drummers mother tweeted that the band was safe, as did members of the Austrian band that played before the Eagles of Death Metal. Fate of crew members unknown though.

149 dead ... unbelievable.

But who do you point the guns at when the enemy wears no flag and hides among the innocent.

Apparently their Facebook page is saying they are still trying to determine whereabouts of band members and crew

That from the Concert alone or total? Not that it matters much. Still a gross number of innocent casualties.

One nice thing about social media is that Facebook created something allowing people to check in as safe from the attacks. Just got the notifications for a couple of my Parisian friends.

Probably over 100 in the concert hall and 40 elsewhere

Is there any linkage to what locations they're targeting? Or was it just purely at random where the most casualties or hostage threats can occur.

I'm guessing you are serious. So here I go.

I'm a secularist, I think religion is harmful and dangerous. When things like this happen I don't jump to "aha! told you so.!" Because I am not a child.

The world we live in is full of danger, horrible humans, and so many awful ideas that as a secularist, a skeptic, its hard to keep positive.

But even in the worst of these moments, I know that the vast majority of us are all horrified, and that gives me hope.

Total. And it sounds like that number may still climb.

Oh yeah, this could be a game changer no doubt. There was already a rise in far right parties in Europe before this, you can only imagine this is going to inflame that even more. Not a good time to be a Muslim in Europe.

Last bit of info from French news was 118 in the concert, and smatterings of info ranging from 35-60 outside of the concert. So I was a bit curious.

Which ground wars? I mean real occupation ground wars. Like iraq and afghanistan no longer exist

Impossible to know at this point. So much going on and so many separate reports.

Yeah, I heard the tv announce that it was thought that these attacks are in retaliation for the French government's recent announcement that they were going to start sending aircraft carriers over.

Almost certainly, as dozens were seriously injured and receiving treatment. Not all will make it, unfortunately.

I think I need to get away from this and go have a bite to eat and a drink. Even from a distance through French TV, it's horrific to watch something like that unfold; I can't even comprehend what it must be for people who are there.

Dan Holloway @RFCdan To people blaming refugees for attacks in Paris tonight. Do you not realise these are the people the refugees are trying to run away from..?
