Ahhh, Sven hasn't been that bad. He certainly isn't the possession black hole he was last year when we watched him.
Only thing I've noticed is he simply does not get to the good, smart scoring areas like he did in juniors. When you avoid your bread and butter, you're not going to succeed.

Thing with Sven is that he isn't getting worse, but he's not getting much better. He's just..........there. Not sure he'll ever take that next step to a solid top 6 winger.

Sven has skill but he is soft, always has been. He's afraid of the contact and thus he'll never make the NHL, if he does he'll be a contributor like Raymond is now.

This.
This is precisely what the issue was with Baertschi all year last year. When he played in Calgary, he usually looked okay—but never did a single thing to separate himself from his peers. It looks just the same for Vancouver right now, except that the Canucks already have him pencilled into their top six.
