That's a Hartley-esque statement right there.

Depends on the "pharmacy" and what type of "experience" you're looking for...

Ha ha... I like how he puts in the Winnipeg qualifier in there. Come on Backlund you can lie to us and say we're the loudest building in the entire 30 team NHL.

Miroslav Shatan - It's Satan.

Bob Boughner - There's no way that's not pronounced Boner.

What a hideous game to watch. It felt like the Flames were handling pucks at the end of 10 foot long sticks. The puck was seemingly in a constant state of bounce in the Canucks end. We couldn't get a thing going - every single puck was contested and hacked at by a gang of players until it finally bounced out of the zone. Mega frustrating.

The top line was downright BRUTAL. Hudler has to be injured, the guy is totally invisible. I'm not sure what's going on with Monahan but he's been pretty ineffective. Gaudreau, while showing a few flashes over the course of the series, was an absolutel liability last night. The Canucks are turning him away with ease when he tries to stickhandle through 3 defenders, and last night he made at least 5 blind passes that landed right on the sticks of Canuck players. All 3 guys are passengers right now.

Saturday's game is absolutely massive; I think it's must-win territory for the Flames. If we're honest with ourselves they've been dominated in Vancouver and were fortunate to win game 1 there. If it goes back to Vancouver for game 7 having lost all momentum I really don't like our chances.

We need to bury these dinks in front of what is sure to be the most raucous crowd at the dome in over a decade.

Fully expected to lose this one. Going back home and could win it in game 6. If you would have told me that at the beginning of the year we'd have that chance I'd just all over it. Well here it is. Flames in 6!!

Lots of negativity in this thread. Give credit to the Canucks. They played desperate hockey on their building and they played like the Flames did in Game 4. They didn't give the Flames lots of room and they kept them shooting outside instead of letting them banging on the rebound. It is not that easy to eliminate a team in their building. I can't believed some people are even suggesting to replace Hudler in the lineup after the lost. The guy played well in Game 3 & 4. Canucks was just looking for a lucky break to tie the game and when that happens, the momentum swung their way. I thought the Flames had some great chances but just missed the opportunities(hitting goal post or losing the puck on breakaway). I agree Flames should have given Ryan Miller more work tonight. Difference between the games they won and last game was Colborne, Bennett, Backlund and others were crashing the net a lot but last night I didn't much crashing. I see nothing wrong with the Flames last night they lost because the Canucks played with more intense and desperations... of course they got the lucky bounce. I am sure Game 6 will be much different. I am seeing more physical game. The only thing that will scare me is the referees dictating the game.

Chin up folks:

1. I haven't researched but I suspect 6 games is the most common series length.

2. Hands up how many people picked Flames in 5. You didn't? So why are you surprised/disappointed? If you didn't think the Canucks could pull out a couple home ice wins over 5 games, I question your analysis.

3. The Flames played a poor game. The first line was invisible - even Johnny's passes were off. The third line didn't have as much pop as usual. The defence wasn't as tight, nor were they as dangerous as before. The 4th line wasn't afactor like before. Only Hiller, Backlund, and maybe Stajan maintained their play. The power play sucked. The PK was a bit less effective. On the other hand the Canucks played a good desperate game, especially the Sedins. Yet the Flames only lost by one goal, on a very small mistake by Engelland, and were a Wideman goalpost from a two goal lead which would have killed the Canucks. In other words, the Canucks had to play their best game and the Flames their worst to come up with a win.

Home ice, last change, improved play by even a little - Flames win.

Just based on observations and not stats, the series has been dead even to me. I feel that we outplayed them twice and they outplayed us twice, and one of the games could have gone either way (and it went our way).

I am really hoping this doesn't go to 7 games, but even after game 4, I expected that it would.

The Great

Hiller - Wow. Unbelievable game from him. It's a shame we wasted it.

The Good

Gaudreau - He played well, created space but needs to shoot more. I think Hartley needs to double shift him here and there if he can handle it and get him on some uneven match ups. Johnny could walk around a lot of the Canucks bottom 6 if he got the chance more often.

Backlund - Played well but man he keeps shooting it from crap areas. He was great at creating space for himself and gaining the zone but his shots were pretty weak and usually right at the goalie.

The Bad

Everyone else. Bennett started off great but than that whole line fell off the map after the 1st period. The top line was getting worked by the Sedins so Hartley needs to keep them away.

Disappointing game and really deflated some confidence out of me personally. To get owned like that in the playoffs is never good and now the Canucks have hope after a performance like that. At least we're still firmly in control and it sounds like the team is still confident so hopefully they come out flying tomorrow and pot a few early again.

Bad games will happen along the way so I'm not too worried. Go Flames Go!

This entire season has been magical, and clinching at home on Saturday night against our arch rivals is how the boys roll. The dome is going to be insane, I fully expect them to come out flying and hitting everything that moves.

The Canucks will wilt like that head of lettuce you've had in the fridge for 10 days because you've been too drunk for most of this playoff run to make a salad.

Thought the Canucks played well. Really not a tremendous amount between these two teams. Hopefully the home crowd can spark the Flames a bit in game 6.

A lot of comments about how "poor" the Flames played, and yes there were a few blown defense coverage, but I think some people are forgetting that we were playing a veteran team that has their backs against the wall facing elimination and fighting for their season.

Also, the ice sucked, saw Brodie struggle with a few passes. With the energy at the Dome, better ice, last change and another game experience for our rookies, I think we take game 6.
