They must have rigged it because the game is in Columbus. Gaudreau had a healthy lead all the way through, and even if by some miracle the second place finisher (Giroux) got a bunch of votes at the last minute, Johansen wasn't anywhere near either of them.
Yet, here we sit.

Listened to Freidman's comments on perhaps bringing guys that don't make the team in for the skills competition (IE Chara for hardest shot), so you them there anyways incase this happens.
It made me think, why not switch the whole process? Have the NHL pick the teams, and the fans vote on the skills competition. This way the game is actually a true representation of the best players, and the skills competition has some depth to it. I mean, who didn't want to see if Lombo was ACTUALLY one of the leagues best skaters? Why not get Chara to defend his hardest shot title regardless of whether or not he's in the game? Reigning champs automatically attend.

It was 38 Gaudreau, 36 Giroux and 20 something for Johansen mere minutes before it ended...

I like this idea. Would like so see where Byron compares to other guys in the league.

I can't believe how terribly the NHL has handled this. Wouldn't be so pissed off if Johnny wasn't ALSO snubbed on the breakaway challenge voting. Serious garbage that makes the league look bad. Might as well be the NFL..

Part of me believes that at the end of the draft, a smart car with tinted windows will drive out onto the stage, and Johnny will open the door.

Why would you favor three rookies and not the other three?

Picking the top 3 scorers of the rookies to replace the players who dropped out seems to make the most sense, no?

If that happens to fit the positional need, maybe. But what if it doesn't? Who do we petition for grave injustices committed against us then?
