I think he's part of the solution if he wanted to be there but I don't think he did.

Perron should tell reporters the truth it was the worst 2 years of misery he has experienced and state in his opinion from what he has seen the organization has no real interest in winning.
Perron will experience the entire opposite of the Greasers with Pens.

Perron either explicitly or implicitly asked for a trade. Not much MacT could do but to maximize the return.

I don't buy for a second that EDM is intentionally tanking. They want to win, but have made poor draft picks, and are simply no good.

So long as Lowe and MacT are making the decisions the Greasers will remain a scrub team and their fans will continue to toss jerseys on the ice. Puting a smile on my face.

That is what they deserve for intentionally tanking their roster.
The thing is that they'll tank their roster and draft a wunderkind and when that superstar shows up next season the Oilers will still have an absolutely garbage roster.

Actually, this is their 9th consecutive season out of the playoffs and there isnt a chance in hell that they'll even have a sniff of the playoffs next season.

That record is in the bag, you can safely start engraving the trophy.

Why would they need to do that when they landed whopping UFAs like Nikitin and Pouliot?

Perron did not make his flight to Pittsburgh apparently he was arrested on route to the airport for excessive speeding.

The Greasers will ruin yet another potentially young superstar in McDavid.
Hall RNH and Eberle will not improve as complete NHL players until they exit all the bad habits that come with playing for Edmonton.

The fun part is that the Oilers aren't even starting over. All MacTavish accomplished was to open a hole where a 20-25 goal guy used to sit and he has nothing in the pipeline to replace him. We'll see if the whole "find a top six winger on the free agent market" thing works better than the "find a top six centre" goal did last year.

I don't agree, that's only speculation. Perron was a marketable asset that brought a reasonable return.
It is now up to management to draft & develop those returns properly.
Not that I have any faith in the current management team to do so.

People, McDavid has little chance to end up on Edmonton. 20% maximum. We really should be talking about Eichel going to Edmonton

Eichel is not going to Edmonton. If they draft him we gonna get some drama!

Haha! Oooh. Pittsburgh still has both games against the Oilers to play.

Anyone want to guess how many points Perron gets?
