Probably not the best time to pumping Varlamov's tires:
@ryanparkerdp: BREAKING: Colorado Avalanche goalie Semyon Varlamov turns himself in to Denver Police for domestic violence charges.

Plus Varlamov just turned himself into Denver police, so having him on our team would kind of suck right now.

Reimer seems more focused than Ramo almost like he wants it more. Kind of like what we are used to seeing with Kipper. Watching Ramo he seems more casual maybe not as intense.

I don't see Calgary coming out deflated at all. I see them keeping the pace. If the "vets" are going to let it affect them. Then let's watch the young guys get more ice. I'm rooting for a Mono goal.

So in other words the Flames are the better team but are losing because they have the inferior goaltender. I expected nights when the Flames may be outclassed by their more talented opponents but this isn't that night. Ramo has some flashes but a starter needs to be consistent and he's not going to be a starter for long if ha can't play two solid games in a row.

Ah, fair enough. It does seem that flip-flopped on that sentiment.

Reminds me of the day when fans would rag on Mike Vernon on a regular basis.

Vernon was awful during that stint, gonna try to find the stats for that season on how many first shot goals he let in

Reimer is so focused he hasn't even left the bench.

Doubt it. He will get a promise to appear, it will be pushed over to the off-season, he will do some community service, ho hum.

I want to see some effort from Ramo this next period. Show me something that says "I am the starting goaltender and I'm going to make up for what I just did." Otherwise let MacD give twice the effort with half the talent.

Yeah, I place more of the blame on the first goal on Butler for not dropping into the butterfly to stop the shot

How many rebounds has Bernier given up? A few, but only a few.
Ramo sends damn near every shot 30 feet back out like a billiard bank shot.

The Leafs are a terrible team and it'll catch up with them sooner or later. When it does (IE Bernier comes back to earth), I could see them losing a bunch of games in a row.

He was awful for letting in a bad goal between his legs at the wrong time of the game. Fans used to sing "Tweet tweet, twiddle twiddle, there's only one goalie with a hole in the middle"
