Feel free to mark it down and send it in a PM or better yet based on the garbage you are posting here just ignore it and move on as these things aren't doing anything to support your argument.
I didn't mean to offend anybody. Sure, I'll stop, I don't mean to clog up the thread. The only positive thing that Carrick has done all match so far has been to let a corner kick go right by him, resulting in van Persie having a good chance on goal. Other than that, he's done nothing but give the ball away while Cleverley is working his butt off to baby sit Carrick and make up for his numerous mistakes.
What the hell were you watching? That play was all a result of Danny Rose doing his best BAE impression.
Pretty pathetic performances by everyone not named Lloris and Townsend today. Dembele and Chadli were particularly terrible. Hopefully Eriksen can be an answer in the middle because there is absolutely no creativity there at the moment.
it was Dawson, he played Walcott onside
Rose was in line with Vertonghen like he should have been, Dawson actually had the vision to know he should have been up as well
Dembele hasn't been great this year, I think he's better in a deeper role and not as the most forward attacking of the 3 CMs, once Eriksen is there (and Holtby too when he's healthy) it will look better
"and why I feel that Cleverley is actually trying"
Did you ask me to highlight why I felt Cleverley was trying?
No.
Did I ever say that Cleverley wasn't trying?
I asked you to give me examples of how he was trying to take the game by the scruff of the neck when I was observing him going backwards and sidewards all day. No one is doubting his or anyones effort.
And did I ask for a blow by blow account? No? Did I mention Carrick? No.
We can all agree that for the most part PL footballers all try.
I asserted that Cleverley was safe and boring in his approach going backwards and sidewards all day.
You say that he was trying to take the game by the scruff of the neck. How so? Was he always looking for the through ball, splitting the defence, bossing midfield, ..... What?
I do not want ......
17:38. Cleverley made a run and looks out of breath, he is obviously trying. Carrick finishes his cigarette and stubs his butt at the centre circle. It doesn't go out and Cleverley has to stamp on it for him. What a tryer.

I pointed out two specific passes that Cleverley made of some distance - one that was over forty yards down the right wing to pick out van Persie. Carrick did not make a single forward pass of more than five yards in the entire first half.
I don't understand what part of winning the ball and making passes that keep possession you think is "safe and boring". You remind me of hockey fans who thought Dion Phaneuf was a great offensive talent, ignoring the fact that his +/- was terrible because he left his defensive partner high and dry with many two-on-ones once Phaneuf lost possession of the puck in the offensive zone.
You can have Michael Carrick. I'll take Claude Makelele every single day of the week over him.
Claude Makalele was the best holding midfielder of the past twenty years, I don't think anyone would dispute that. A player like him who "plays it safe with backwards and sideways passes" is worth far more than a player who contributes lots offensively but gives the ball away often.
Just look at the Barcelona model - they have been the best club in Europe over the past ten years, and they are not built on long, exciting passes. They bore you to death with little five yard passes all over the pitch.
It was a blown chance in that they dominated the game but played terribly in the last third against a mediocre team. They had one HUGE chance in their absolute domination of the second half.
And yes, I give Liverpool little credit for the quality of United's final ball and for the decisions to have Giggs, Nani ... take the set pieces ahead of RvP. And for Cleverly's inability to make a forward pass, and for Young being ..... not very good.
Besides, regardless, when a top team like United fails to take three points from a mid table team like Liverpool it's a blown chance. Simple as that.
Ah shucks. Last season Liverpool played United off the park and lost to a red card and a bs penalty. Liverpool didn't play particularly well today but still won. I'll take that every match if need be.
Your manager thinks your team played really well too. "Best we've played this season" I'd be worried by statements like that. Slur Alex would have likely subbed on Nani for the likes of Evra and gone for it and likely would have got a draw today. Moyes is way too conservative to do that and it's going to bite united on a few occasions this season.
I know your MO by now but could you at all consider the fact that United's dominant 2nd half had much to do with Liverpool tactically dropping off by at least 10 yards to defend their lead against a very good counter defending team? Not sure i agree with the tactic but, hey, it worked as United created very little of note.
My mediocre team has Suarez, Toure, Cissokho, Sakho, Moses and Ilori to come in to the squad that beat your lot today. Perhaps you still consider that mediocre but I'll settle for it being a slight improvement.
And, mid table team, Bagor you're such a laff. When was the last time Liverpool finished 10th?
I'm going to enjoy the win, even moreso when I read some of the sour grapes biles of crap being spewed by some of the United faithful. Of course we're not going to win the league, that will likely by Chelsea, but I see an improvement and the first genuine opportunity to at least challenge for a top four finish in quite a few seasons. At this point, I'll take it.

WTF is happening here?! Can we just make a Man U thread so the rest of us can be spared?!
I just stated that United dominated the second half but blew a huge chance against an average opponent by a lack creativity in the final third and a load of people got upset. Never mentioned no ref or conspiracy theory ... anything. Simply stated that United played badly against a lesser opponent.

Firstly, did you just use yesterday's game as a chance to continue whining about the ref in a game last season .... really?
Agreed Moyes was too conservative but Nani for Evra? No he wouldn't. Get a grip.

It's a shame that some people just can't play nice.
You still scared to go a game?

Apologies, but if they play bad, I'm going to say it. I wasn't making excuse or anything just stating that yesterday, they were not good.
