some snacks that are hard to find south of the border
Coffee Crisp
Aero bars
Canadian Cheez Whiz - the American stuff is thinner, made to dip, not spread
Canadian back bacon, with the cornmeal crust
Ketchup or Dill Pickle flavoured chips
Butter tarts
I love candy stories, could you please tell me one?
There's a British themed candy shop in Mackenzie Towne on High Street, right beside the Subway.
Edit: I fail, totally misread your post.
Here's a candy story. When I was 5 or 6 I was eating some Turtles Chocolates. I had a loose tooth at the time, and it ended up getting stuck in the caramel and I ate my tooth.
i remember that, it was so good, I loved going to Chi Chi's in general. I used to always get the taco bowl but wouldn't eat too much of it being so full off the free chips and salsa you were given before the meal.

Why did the restaurant ever close?
I was a dishwasher there, and was fired for eating too many free chips. I don't know why it closed. Too many free chips?
Vienetta looks like just normal ice cream but in a wavy form but inside the ice cream are many layers of crispy chocolate that give it a wonderful texture and darker flavor when you bit into it.
A treat from our elementary school teacher if we had done all of our homework correctly.
The best type of these was the sour ones that came out later. Am I wrong in remembering the astropops as being the inverse of that pic though? I thought the stick came out the wider side, looking like a christmas tree.
