I know some of my friends loved these when I was growing up, but to me they tasted like wax and sugar. I think they were also cheaper than normal chocolate bars?
Of course, I'm also surprised by the love for Tahiti Treat, so maybe it's just me.

Here's one that's been bugging me recently: I think they were called Dingbats. They were made by the Popsicle people and it was longer and rounder than a Popsicle. In the very middle was chocolate ice cream, around that was vanilla ice cream, and the whole thing had a hard chocolate shell.

Whatever happened to this thing, circa 1970s... except I remember them being orange flavoured and I thought they were called "birdies".
These were my favorite growing up. I preferred the vanilla with the grape swirl. The gumball in the bottom was always gooey and nasty though. I still look for them every time i pass by a freezer.
My wife doesn't believe me that you used to be able to go to A&W and get cartons of root beer before A&W root beer was available in stores.
Was it actuall Root Beer or was it syrup that you took home and added water to to make Root Beer? I kinda eremember something but I may be getting two different things mixed up.

Anyone know where I could pick up some Humpty Dumpty BBQ chips for my old man? I checked online but didn't have any luck. He is from Montreal and misses those things badly. Anytime he hears about people heading out that way he asks them to pick some up.

Old Dutch bought out Humpty Dumpty a few years ago, and replaced them on the shelves with their own product all across Eastern Canada, so you may be out of luck. All you see now is Humpty Dumpty snacks (party mix, hickory sticks, etc).
On a more positive note, doesn't the current Old Dutch BBQ bag say that it is the Humpty Dumpty flavour? Or has he tried them and found them wanting?
Back in the early 80's Catelli used to have the best Mac N' Cheese, I distinctly remember it had a kid on the front of the box shovelling down a spoonfull of this glorious stuff. Catelli went and re-branded the box and changed the ingredients of there mac and cheese never to return to it's glory year's. Anyone else remember this - or am I crazy?
