If they pocket the whistles and leave out "even up" agendas through the remainder of the series, that would be advantage cats.
Seriously though, the default in games 5-7 has to be reluctance to call anything. Its been reminiscent of first round reffing to this point. I'm used to the finals being one must commit murder to result in a penalty.
Officials need to provide as little influence as possible.
We know that isn't going to happen. Gary Bettman's modern day NHL is all about game management to try and up the entertainment factor. As long as he is at the helm you will never see team vs team without officiating influence.

Since the oilers are losing the special teams battle I think they’d take that.
Clown oilers fans on social media still crying about missed penalty calls against the Panthers, even with a win. No mention of the missed calls against the grease pigs. SN media calls their pig fans 'passionate'. That just means they don't see reality and just whine, whine, whine. Most deluded fan base ever, by a country mile. They honestly are blind to anything that doesn't favour their side.
Now I hope the panthers win the cup on a powerplay on a completely awful call against the oilers, a completely phantom call. The way the team and their fan base whines, that would be justice.

Did anybody notice Nurse on the winning goal? He looked incredibly confused, like he had no idea what happened. How does Darnell get to the rink in the morning? How does he make meals? Does he have a caregiver?

One pretty big advantage Florida should have is McDavid being tired hopefully. He played 30 minutes tonight. That is 7 more minutes than any top forward on on the Panthers. And more than any of their dmen played as well.

That is absurd for a forward to play 30 minutes.
I think he played 35-40 in the first two games.
He has slowed down a bit.
I'd prefer a tired Dicksaddle at this point though. He's dragging them through the mud this year. ####ing villanous german trash bag doesn't seem deterred by anything and it's annoying.

Florida has been the better team this entire series, not sure this can be disputed.
It’s tied and that’s unfortunate but I think we see Oilers choke at home next game.
Pickard’s fragile Cinderella story is about to turn into a pumpkin.
He’s not that good

I was really hoping the panthers could close it out in 5, let the oilers fans watch them skate around with the cup on their ice. But I’ll take 6. Just go and win game 5 please
Verhagen in the first few shifts of OT was playing like he had 6 beers and a Xanax in the locker room during the intermission. Probably nerves but he killed a few chances.
Someone should give me money to bet on the Oilers the rest of the way. I've biffed like 90% of my sports bets on the last 12 months. It's a losing streak for the ages.

He’s always got that far away, perma stunned look on his face, mouth agape. I call him the stunned one…

Anyone happen to catch the post game presser with Maurice? Was anything of interest said?
To think this could have been a sweep had they not blown two leads.
It's probably the Panther's biggest weakness as they are prone to periods where they let their foot off the gass. No way to sugarcoat that one as it's a bad loss for them that could cost them their 2nd cup.

Eventually they won't win games when trailing, but they've trailed every game this series and it's tied so we're running out of runway a bit with that.
Got to think Skinner's time in Edmonton is done. Last night wasn't his fault, he was essentially even with goals saved above expected.
If the unthinkable happens, Draisaitl deserves the MVP. It'll go to McDavid because McDavid, but this is Draisaitl's team.
Also, what the **** Florida. Blowing 2 goals in game 1 was one thing, but no part of me thought 3 goals last night, after how dominant the first was, was at risk. ****
