I feel like 5% better. As crappy as 6-6 is, Indy still controls their own destiny. If Indy goes 4-0 (2 games vs the Titans who look worse then Indy does right now, 1 @ Raiders, 1 vs Jags), they finish 10-6 and would have the tiebreaker vs the Jags.

Steelers defence makes the plays to get them the win in Baltimore. Hard fought game by both teams, given how Cundiff boomed kickoffs all night, I'm surprised they didn't try the 51 yarder.

Epic choke job by the Ravens. Flacco has done nothing this year to prove he is anything but an average QB.

So sick of the Ravens playing not to lose when they get an early lead, they really should have won that game.

NBC loves Ben! I mean come on, that play where he got away from Suggs and threw it out of bounds.. the play of the year!??? Collinsworth was slobbering!
That play was more Suggs afraid to grab a face mask more than anything.

Well that was close. Turned off the SEA game at half, after Hasslebeck failing to get in the endzone at half, down 14-3. I was fully expecting a loss that was going to a long way in messing up the playoffs. Check in an hour later while I am out and SEA's up by 10.
Thankfully a good drive to start the 3rd, followed by a pick 6, and then a long return from Washington, did the trick and SEA scored 31 straight points to win comfortably.
This was of course against the powerhouse 1-11 Panthers.
Its really going to come down to the last game between SEA and St. L at Qwest. Both teams have to play SF, and need to win that. SEA plays ATL at home and TB on the road, in addition to SF on the road. St. L plays San Fran at home, and has to play NO and KC.
Safe assumption is both teams will be 1w 2L the next 3 weeks, leaving it all on the table for the last game of the year to make the playoffs.

Oakland will be a difficult test. Raiders have played very well against finesse teams like the Chargers and Colts. IMO they should be able to overpower the Colts much like they overpowerd the Chargers. They now lead the league in sacks I believe and most of that is from the front four not all out blitzes. You can never count out Manning but he's going to see more pressure that he has faced all year and without a running game it will be difficult.
Hopefully the Raiders can do them a favor and beat the Jags this weekend but that will depend on if the coaches bring their vanilla playbooks (see Steelers, Dolphins losses) or the creative playbooks. We are talking about a team after all that is coached by a guy that is a step above a high school football coach so it's an iffy proposition week to week.

Hey, the Browns are 4-2 in the last 6 games (and should have beat the Jets too).

Why is that?
Heres the facts...Trent Green had two Hall of Fame calibre guys in Will Shields and Willy Roaf protecting him. His running backs were as good or at least comparable to what Cassel has this year. He still made numerous poor decisions with the ball, and the only year he put up much of a record was a year where the Chiefs had a cream puff schedule. Talent wise, Green and Cassel are pretty much the same except that Cassel is more mobile, and Cassel is much smarter with protecting the ball than Green ever was.
Green was very much like Cassel, and you seem to revere Green like he was some type of god, but want to crap on Cassel.

I have to agree with the Cassel/Green. Very similar IMO.
I think the big reason for the KC turnaround is Pioli. I think Hayley is a terrible coach with a great management team. It will take another year or 2 before KC is a serious contender but considering they dont have alot of players on their roster that wernt there 2 years ago I think they have made great strides.

Bombshell RT @Denver_Broncos: Broncos Owner Pat Bowlen has relieved Josh McDaniels of his head coaching duties.

And so ends the McDaniels ear in Denver. I wonder what this will mean for young Timothy Richard.

You were at the Seattle game. Now that type of game would have been the norm for the Chiefs when Trent Green was under center. Their third down percentage was high and they could rack up the yards. Unfortunately the defense was near the bottom of the league every year and the Chiefs were never able to capitalize on the success of the offense.
Trent Green had three incredible seasons.
2002:
61.1 completion %, 3690 yards, 26 TD, 13 INT, for a rating of 92.6.
2003: 63.1%, 4039yds, 24TD, 12INT, 92.6.
2004: 66.4%, 4591yds (14th alltime), 27TD, 17INT, 95.2.
True Green had a great supporting cast including his O-line. However the current Chiefs O-line are no slouches either leading the league in rushing yards along with only allowing 14 sacks (4th lowest in the league) and 48 QB hits (9th lowest in the league).
Cassel is having a good year so far. I think his QB rating of 98.something is fifth in the league. Also his 24 TD passes are tied for forth most in the league. Of note, with 4 games remaining he does have a shot at the franchise record for TD passes at 30.
Now Cassel is excellent when it comes to protecting the ball. However he is never going to be able to take chances down the field when the Chiefs are behind and that is a problem when the offense needs to score points to make a comeback. With Green it seemed like you were never out of the game.
Two different teams, two different eras. As of right now, Green has the better numbers. Cassel has plenty of time to better those numbers and to take the Chiefs places that Green never could (mostly because of bad defense). Until that time, I consider Trent Green to be the 2nd best QB in Chiefs history outside of Hall of Famer, Super Bowl MVP, Len Dawson.
As for crapping on Cassel? I have only done that when he has played crappy. I posted that he was the AFC player of the month and admitted that his play has been very good recently. To me he seems to be getting better with experience. Here's to hoping that he continues to improve.

Thank ####ing god. Being a huge Broncos fan i'm glad to see this guy gone. Was not a fan. Even when they started 6 - 0 they were not a good team last year. I even won money that year after their 6 - 0 start betting that the Broncos wouldn't make the playoffs.

Wow! That came out of nowhere. Thought they'll play out the season.
Alright Pat Bowlen. Round 2 in finding a new coach.
