Who says the governor has to die? Rick et al could end up having to relocate; or there could be a situation where the governor flees on his own. That way there is a way to bring him back later on if needed.

It would be pretty anti-climactic if the groups just parted ways after a whole season of buildup to a showdown.

I suppose, but wouldn't that make for an anticlimactic season finale?

I say let the Governor reanimate into a zombie and keep him as a pet.

I guess I see it that there could still be a showdown, but then somebody gets the heck out of there at the end. The Governor's people could turn against him, or as suggested Rick's team suffers enough losses that they have to retreat.

Resourceful but not the best way to do it. If you ever find yourself in handcuffs and desperate to get out, cut your thumb off. Greatly reduce the odds of bleeding to death and you still have a somewhat functional hand.

Last episode they focused heavily on her relationship with Glenn, even had her proposed to. And her death impacts the group on a personal level the most simply because of Glenn, Hershel and Beth. Would allow Glenn to become even darker, cause strife between him and Rick if he blames him at all and could push Beth into more of the forefront instead of such a background character ("Maggie's sister") going forward.

Plus I saw her in a commercial for another show.

I have thought that all along, and whenever the fact that he doesn't have a hand is relevant, it nags at me.
One of Maggie or Glenn bites the dust for sure. Them adding the proposal thing in there pretty much seals the deal on that.

She's guest starring on Law & Order: SVU doing a "Ripped From the Headlines" take on the whole legitimate rape theory.

Slow?!?! Man...not sure what show you've been watching but slow sure isn't the word I'd use.
I'd go with one of:
Epic
Mind numbingly awesome
Edgy
Dark
Brilliant

Probably a tricky line to walk of trying to write to appease viewers vs. doing what the creative team thinks should be done vs. doing what the accountants/executives want to do to monetize it as quickly and largely as possible.
|
Viewership is still through the roof, beating out most major network shows, so as long as that keeps happening, it won't die for a while. I believe they're already renewed for Season 4.
Personally I love the show, so this appeases me.

Zombies have an unfair advantage right now. Just like Vampires of 3 years ago and wizards of 7-8 years ago, they're currently shining in the sun. Want proof? Just watch how much money World War Z will generate this summer.

I am guessing Beth and the baby get it. Maybe Carol, sending Daryl further into a murderous rage. Carol is probably the first woman in his life that he's truly cared about, and that cared about him, and he never expressed that to her outwardly.
Andrea is killed by the Governor and one of Milton or Tyrese kills the governor.

I would say Tyrese kills Ramirez after realizing how stupid it is to attack Rick's group (which we call know is coming). There is definitely friction between the two. Tyrese is also going to be involved in the death of that guy who used to be his friend.

12 episodes is a perfect length for a season. This year was 16 and it seemed to drag a bit.
I also vote for Maggie dying. Too much was set up last episode between her and Glen. I'd rather see Glen go though.

I'd love to see Tyrese kill the Governor and cement his status in Rick's group moving forward. But I think it will be Andrea.
