I don't think the Broncos had a legitimate shot at him anyways, even with the Bears 1st. That being said, I think they have a great shot at Bradford.

His slight build concerns me. Love his arm and his game though. I think he will drop to the 2nd or 3rd round.

It will be interesting to see how the top of the draft goes. The Broncos should end up with a great pick if the Bears continue to fill their suck bucket. McCoy and Hsu should go before they can pick which would've made a Locker presensce interesting.

There is still a crazy scenario thats still alive where there could be a 5 way tie of 9-7 records for that final AFC playoff spot. Could have been 6 teams if Pittsburgh had beat Cleveland. Even with their remaining schedules, Houston, Tennessee, Miami, New York Jets, and Jacksonville can all end up 9-7. Especially if Indy decides to lay off here now that their fate is set. I think Jacksonville still would get that tie breaker due to the better conference record. Jacksonville or Batimore are the most likely teams to get in with a 9-7 record.

The Jets and Dolphins still have a shot at their Division as the Patriots still aren't quite right. If Carolina was slightly adept they could have knocked them off yesterday. If that happens than things can jumble up with the 10-6 teams.

Coach McD doesn't strike me as the kind to take a 1st round QB. I'm thinking Orton is here for about 3 more years, the Broncos pick an under the radar QB who is big, accurate and football smart in the 2nd round at earliest to groom for a few years before Orton leaves. I can't really think of any examples off the top of my head though.

IMO the needs to be filled are still D line and centre. Those should be the immediate areas of concern methinks.

Definitely agree. Would love to see us end up with McCoy or Suh somehow. Don't think there's much of a chance of either of them dropping far enough though.

Wow, if Warner throws a couple more picks and loses a couple of more fumbles my first round playoff loss might become interesting!

Didn't see it mentioned, but the Broncos/Eagles game in two weeks has been moved to a 4:15 EST start. Thankfully.

Bradford: 6' 4" 223 lbs

Brees: 6' 0" 209 lbs

Denver could do a lot worse than Bradford, IMO.

Sure they could. I love the kid.

He's not very thick though. Which may or may not be an issue.

I don't agree with that interpretation at all.

It has been an extraordinarily bad year in Tampa. That was a good moment. Leave it to the media to twist a guy's words into something they don't mean....and they wonder why guys like Parcells and Belechick hate them.

I totally agree.

Cards just coughed it up for a 7th time.

For the Jets to take the division they need Miami to lose once and the pats to lose twice. With the latter most likely not happening. The jets are at the mercy of both the dolphins and pats as they hold no tiebreaks against any of those teams.

Lost yesterday was that Indy broke 2 records:

22 straight regular season victories breaking the old mark of 21 set by the Patriots a few years back and what I think is even more impressive in that they broke the record of the 49ers (113 wins in the 90's) for most wins in a decade of football (Indy now has 114 wins this decade).

I can't wait for the playoffs! This whole 16-0 thing is nice but honestly doesn't mean much to me. It's what happens in the AFC Divisional Round Game in Indy that matters now. I must say that there are a lot of good teams in the AFC this year. I think San Diego is the team that scares me the most from the other AFC teams. New England would be 2nd on that list for me even though they have had problems lately. Brady/Welker/Moss can be instant offense. Cincinnati, Baltimore, Denver, Jacksonville, Miami, NY Jets..........some good teams in there. That 6th seed could very well pull of an upset vs the 3rd seed.

At least one of your teams is going to do well this year.

I was thinking that the Colts probably had the easier road to the Superbowl than the Saints this season because I think San Diego is the only AFC team who can really pose a great threat against them. I suppose New England could if they had it all together that day. But I don't think Cincy or any of the possible Wild Card teams can go into Indy and score enough to keep up with the Colts.

Whereas Minnesota, Green Bay, and Philly all might be able to give the Saints a tough game, and possibly Arizona if the right Cards team shows up.

This year it seems like offence rules supreme in the NFL as no team seems to have a great defence that shows up and dominates from week to week. The Saints and Colts can both pile up the points and their defences are performing at a level comparable to most of the other teams in the league. With the second round looking to start off in domes like Indy, New Orleans and Minny, as well as San Diego, I don't think we'll see any 17-14 games after the first week. You're going to be needing 28+points and into the 30's if you want to win this season later on in the playoffs against those teams.

This is something I disagree with. Indy's defense shows up pretty much every week and have given up the 2nd fewest points in the entire NFL. The only game that was not the norm for them was the 35-34 win over the Patriots where Moss made some big catches. But against Tom Brady, that happens from time to time. And they came up and made the stop in that game at the most important time. Manning, Wayne, Clark, etc always get the press but Indy's defense this year has been dynamite. Missing 4 key players virtually the entire season (2007 defensive player of the year Bob Sanders, Marlin Jackson, Hayden and Hagler) resulting in two rookies (Powers and Lacey) having to play full time status, and the defense hasn't missed a beat. Indy has allowed the 2nd least points in the entire NFL with a injury depleted defense and has allowed more then 17 points only 3 times all season. Indy's defense has won them games this year (14-12 vs Jacksonville, 18-14 vs SF, 20-17 vs Houston, 17-15 vs Baltimore). If not for the outstanding play of the defense this year, we have 3 or 4 losses for sure.

In terms of the Saints..........I just wanted to say if I had an MVP vote at this point of the season, Drew Brees would be my vote. I'd rather have Manning as my QB but Brees has done an amazing job with the Saints and his numbers back it up. Hats off to him.

Oh and in the playoffs, never count out New England. Tom Brady can turn the switch on in a second like only a few quarterbacks can (Manning, Brees, etc).
