Yeah helluva leap.
A corrupt, Emir/monarch with absolute power, that enforces Sharia Law. LGBT rights are actively oppressed, with countless stories of arrests.
But you keep yelling at the clouds from your farcical high horse.

High horse, sure? Farcical? Nope. More farcical would be thinking that the Qatari government murdered an American journalist, right in the middle of a match, in front of the entire world's media (literally, as they were all sitting around him when he collapsed) at the biggest sporting event in the world when judging eyes are already on them. Even if they wanted to kill him for whatever reason, don't you imagine they would do it in a far quieter way? Like say poison him at the airport so that he dies a few days later far away from Qatari soil as an example.
Look at the other thread. Now we're supposed to believe that the Qataris have also murdered a 60+ TV production guy? For who knows what reason, nobody has proffered one.
Everyone rightly gives Matata and Yoho crap for falling down conspiracy theory holes without thinking things through logically but don't consider that they're capable of being easily duped too.

Alright...France and Morocco!
Do the Moroccans get some revenge for generations of colonialism? Will the streets of Casablanca be overflowing with joy?
Or will the spoils spill into the overflowing cups of the fatcat Aristocratic Bourgeoisie in Paris?
Societal strife aside, I think if theres a team that can break down this staunch Moroccan defence its probably France. Giroud has been effective at generating something out of nothing and is someone you'd bet on to get his head to a cross ahead of Moroccan defenders.
And in terms of breaking defensive lines, the Moroccans have a lot of pace, but nobody can match Mbappe in full flight.

I think Morocco will be out of gas & too injured and get beat comprehensively.
Hopefully they prove a doubter like me wrong again though.

I would assume Argentina prefer a France win here. France are obviously a better team than than Morocco, but Morocco would be a whole lot harder to break down than France.

Done making predictions on Morocco... just gonna enjoy the game and hope for lots of goals! I think this one needs an early goal to make it entertaining before Morocco strangles it.
I dunno Clay I can't see anyone wanting France with Mbappe's form right now and that supporting cast, I like their odds way better against Morocco though agree that they are not an easy out either!

Yeah, I'm with Matty, I'm not making any more Moroccan predictions.
That being said, initial reports show that Romain Saiss, Morocco's Captain and CB Rock, is in the lineup.
He had to be removed against Portugal due to injury, but that guy has been a mountain all tournament, so its good to see him back in the lineup and hopefully fit.

I know some people like the whistling (think its lame myself) but doing it during the other countries national anthem is poor

Evidently not. Had to be replaced after 21 minutes.
