This makes less sense.

Is this about getting pegged from behind? Because then you’re technically being loaded. Like, this is the dumbest euphemism I have heard.
No, the person loading is the personal releasing a load and filling the dishwasher. I think that poster was mentioning how the location of the dishwasher causes the dishwasher to assume that similar position... or maybe it was a misunderstanding.

The person being loaded can be male or female, but the person loading has to be able to blow a load.

Yes it's crass. But so would sex in a lobby or sex by food, so it just kinda came out that way.

Well, if romance included sex in a lobby or sex by a table of potluck foods in front of others... otherwise, I'd assume it makes no sense to consider it as a phrase in a box of romantic lexicon.

I don't think you can say you've really partied unless you've ended up being a part of some inappropriate sexcapades.

What do you mean it came out that way? Are you trying to appropriate a joke? lol

The entire “thrust” of the joke (pun intended) is supposed to be offensive/degrading (that’s where the humour comes from). It goes, “What’s another name for cumming inside a woman?” “Loading the dishwasher.”

It’s not some general euphemism for sex, it’s meant to be an offensive joke. It can’t be a man, because the joke loses all meaning, and you can’t just use it as a general euphemism, because then you’re not getting the joke and really just calling the person you’re cummkng inside of a dishwasher… which… good luck regardless of how romantic it is.

The scenario is crass thus the use of a crass euphemism for sex. Pardon the pun, that's what I meant by "came out that way".

I don't believe I said it was a general euphemism and if I did, I used bad wording and I apologize. I meant it was the euphemism that came to mind thinking of that scenario. Crass scenario thus crass euphemism.

This thread clearly needs a debate on whether Grover Cleveland's expansion of the gold standard was good policy.

It's a recent euphemism I ran into and it seemed to match the scenario I was describing. I already said it was crass euphemism for crass scenario. Perhaps I can see how someone reads the word "recent euphemism" and interprets that as a replacement word for "general", but I've already replied that this wasn't the case and apologized for poor wording.

So again, what are you trying to prove? Or did you just want an opportunity to associate yourself with a paper bag on your own head?

I applaud you for being able to coin a euphemism off the cuff when the guacamole hits the fan.

Why are you splitting hairs over “recent” vs “general”. It’s describing the phrase as “euphemism” is what is at the heart of it.

This is getting really close to assaulting a fish territory.

I’m starting to worry that you still don’t get the joke and there’s only so many times I can explain why a misogynistic joke is funny without accidentally spending too much time justifying women as dishwashers.

I forget, but somebody has it as a tagline.

I didn't start it. Pepsi inquired about it which I thought was fair, so I responded.

Or is the issue that I specifically am using the word euphemism vs joke or metaphor etc. Maybe I was probably thinking innuendo. Either way... my bad for the derail.

I have no idea what this references to. Point me in the right direction?

I think I'm cluing in slowly, but I definitely had a huge, huge whoosh moment. Would like to reset and move on if allowable.

Found it, can’t quote it because the thread is archived but this was in response to a story about an assault on a “Fish & Wildlife Officer”, from chubeyr1.

Quote:
First off I have not followed this conversation long enough to pick sides, or even really know what you are talking about.

Yet you are saying this person is accused of "Assaulting a fish".

What?

Where does a conversation go after reading this? This is how it goes!

Next up, Hate crimes against fish!

Were these fresh water fish or salt water fish?

Now I am a fish racist!

Please tell me I missed the point completely and fish is an abbreviation for something else!

Who accused this person? Was it the fish! You know they have rights too. They are a minority group, but they should have rights too!

A person being accused of assaulting fish! What about chickens, and cows too. If we are protecting fish, why not the others?

I saw someone hit a rabbit today with their vehicle and drive away. Hit and Run, lock that bugger up!

Thank you! You made my day!

Accused of assaulting a fish! Funniest thing I have ever heard.

Personally I am allergic to fish. I dont eat fish, and I dont try to catch them. Yet lets lock up all the buggers that do. They are an evil lot!

They catch them with hooks, then beat them over the head till they are dead. Then they eat them! First degree murder right there! Lock them all up!

Or was this sexual assault? Possibly a blowfish?

I will see myself out now! Where is the paper bag emoji?

You made my day!

Now we get to spend the next 4 years or so hearing how the NDP or UCP party will handle this. I am sure there will be a new tax to deal with this. People might think it is a little fishy!
Absolute legend.

I think this joke could also be about cumming in a man.

in the context of the joke in the first place they could have laterally meant the person who works at taco bell whose job title is the dish washer.

I think "loading the dishwasher" was actually a much more clever euphemism than he thought. You know, he was just trying to say something dumb you might use in front of your kids like "stacking the pancakes" or "jumping to warp 10" or something, but the one he came up with on the spot had a lot more clever interpretations available and y'all really dug into it.

That's my take on the situation at least.
