Holy crap did For All Mankind go downhill fast. This is without a doubt the fastest decline and quickest jumping of the shark I can ever recall.

For 1 season and 7 episodes it was a fascinating human drama with some space exploration, Cold War type stuff thrown in. It was engaging and, while not always super realistic, was a great look at an alternate timeline.

Then S2 episodes 8/9/10 happened. It was so stupid and far fetched but I was like whatever, they wanted to end with a bang. That’s ok, maybe season 3 will go back to a more grounded approach.

Lol nope. S3 ep 1 was without question one of the dumbest episodes and worst hours of television I’ve seen. It was hilariously bad. Like they were intentionally trying to get the show cancelled bad.

What the hell is it with shows that are so good for a couple seasons and then turn to ####? And not just a slow decline. Fell off a ####ing mountain.

Good lord I hope the rest of S3 gets better because that episode is gonna be hard to come back from.

Do you smell burning toast? Because I think you might be having a stroke.

That show's quality chart was like one of those cartooney graphs where the rising line comedically goes out of the poster.

Nathan Fielder's The Rehearsal is wild. Not gonna lie I found him to be genuinely creepy at points.

Lego Masters Australia starts today and the American Lego Masters starts in about 2 weeks.

Fun watch if you're a Lego fan at all.

I'm only a few episodes in but does it ever slow down? It's relentless to the point it's almost stressful to watch.

Only for brief periods.

It's got amazing pacing, really makes my mind drift back to working in a kitchen in my teens and hating every minute of it.

Oof. Episode seven was hectic. I can no longer watch it before going to bed. I was too amped up

No.

Its like its trying to drag you into the feeling of being a line-cook which, as I've mentioned, I dont particularly want or need to relive thanks. Been there, done that.

I watched it over my lunch. Its too much later in the evening.

I will say however:

Spoiler!

For those who haven't watched, E7 is the single camera,/one take/no edit episode.
It was truly excellent. In awe of the talent of all involved to pull this off.
I expect a nomination for this episode.

"Slow Horses"

It stars Gary Oldman as the leader of a small group of disgraced British spies.

The first 6 episodes of The Sandman were pretty darn solid (5 and 6 in particular) and then it went to complete dog crap. I mean, what the hell is the show even about from episode 7 onwards?

Episodes 7-11 adapt the second trade paperback of the comic series, The Doll House, as well as two standalone issues, Dream of A Thousand Cats and Caliope. The story builds on implications and fallout from the first six episodes, expands on Dream's family, The Endless, and it's history and dynamic. And they continue to explore the link between dreams and inspiration, as well as how dreams shape the waking world.

I think my least favourite thing about The Sandman is the Sandman.
