If you just go and watch the videos of Barkov and Lindholm I strongly lean towards Lindholm, and I will tell you why.

Lindholm has the high IQ, hes got the top end skill but hes doing what makes the Sedins dangerous, what made Sakic so dangerous, he sets up shop behind the red line in the offensize zone. To me thats where all the dangerous plays are created, behind the net working there setting up plays, he can control the puck and find open guys. His boardwork is excellent something we lack big time, and hes very close to the net going to the dirty areas.

Thats not to say Barkov is a not a exceptional talent, but I think Lindholm just brings all the intangibles of a #1 center.

Im really really hoping if we don't pick 1st we can somehow land him.

Lindholm/Compher and one of Morrisey or Pulock.

How amazing would winning that Draft Lottery be... I mean we all know Edmonton is going to win it and pick first overall again.. but imagine it was us.

The Pens are second overall, the Blues are eighth overall (the six Division winners get ranked 1-6 and either Boston or Montreal will be seventh); and the Flames are 25th overall.

Pending the results of the lottery and the four Conference finalists, that gives the Flames the 6th, 23rd, and 29th picks.

Best case scenario is a lottery win and four of the teams below the Blues making the Conference Finals. This would translate to: 1st, 19th, and 25th.

Worst case scenario is one of the teams ranked higher than the Flames winning the lottery plus St Louis and Pittsburgh meeting in the Finals. This would translate to: 7th, 29th, and 30th.

My top 3 picks come draft day(assuming no movement)

1st pick - Elias Lindholm C (skilled potental 1st line center)
2nd pick - Frederik Gauthier C (huge potental 2nd line center)
3rd pick - Valentin Zykov RW (powerfull sniper)

Who I think the Flames will actually draft

1st pick - Sean Monahan C (big potental 1st/2nd line center)
2nd pick - Rasmus Ristolainen D (big strong top 4 defenseman)
3rd pick - Nicolas Petan C (small very skilled center)

Lindholm, and a solid D prospect and I'm happy, the third 1st would just be icing on the cake.

It will be interesting to see who's at 6 in Craig Button's next Craigslist. He currently has Lindholm at 8 in his early April rankings, if he moves to 6 in May, he's likely our guy.

Kinda frustrating that Tod leaks that info to his brother.

He's been bulletproof while presiding over one of the worst prospect pools in the league, he's probably just running a social experiment at this point. Seeing how far he can go and not get canned.

I personally don't think Craigs list comes from his kid brother or vice versa, tidbits from both sides but nothing silly.

Craig's placement of Jankowski at 14 is just too coincidental for me to ignore. I'll be taking a close look this year to confirm my suspicions.
