Wideman sucks but he can put up some points. The Flames don't need that as you have Gio, Hamilton and Brodie.

Ference sucks but he can be ok defensively in a 3rd pair. He is an upgrade on Smid but barely.
 |
Ference is like Wideman without the offensive ability.

Try to get Wideman to waive to go to Edmonton. Can't see it happening.

You can have Raymond for ference though.

Wideman doesn't suck. In what wI rod do you think that is even close to a fair trade.

A Dman that played nearly 25min last year and scored 56pts on a team that made it to the second round sucks?

You don't think he'd waive to go to a cup contender?
sincerely,

Ference can't make the Oilers lineup so what makes you think he could play for the Flames? Ference can't play anymore. He's done and Smid can at least play. No team will take him off your hands I am afraid.

My friend is a die hard sharks fan, who has wanted Marleau to waive for a couple of years. He told me he does not think Marleau would never waive because his wife loves the area. In the summer he went as far to say that he thinks Marleau would play out his contract and then retire. Staying close like Friedman suggests makes sense.

There's living in the past but still counting on Wideman for points isn't that really. He's playing bad right now, it doesn't mean he's useless. Crosby is playing bad, is he garbage now too?

I think Wideman has more value than a washed up garbage an that can't even get a regular shift on the worst blueline in the league. Wideman is top 4 on the Oilers Ference is press box boy in Calgary.
I still think Wideman or Russell should be traded

Not a rumour from anywhere, but I've noticed that since Vasilevskiy got healthy in Tampa, he's started 3 of 5.
Bishop has one more year after this on a contract that pays him $5.95M.

Anyone interested? If so, what is the most you would give up?

Would a Bouma for Eberle trade be fair?

Bouma is good on the 4th line.

No more than the 2nd round pick they traded for him initially.

I would trade a 2nd for Bernier, or a guy like Granlund.

I'd only do it if it was Ference + EDM's 1st in 2015.

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzieJustin Abdelkader on verge of finalizing 7-year contract extension with DET. AAV is expected to be $4M+.

Wow. Maybe that's just me, but throwing 4+ at Abdelkader for 7 years seems like a pretty srupid idea.
