He was arrested on the warrant from Quebec. No charges have been laid in Alberta (yet.)

I'll take your word for it, I'm not in contract law.

Pretty sure it means that the kids really should have listened and beaten back into school because based on that post they had a bunch of learning still to do on their reading and writing.
Just wow.

Uh so apparently a bunch of other squatters/freeman have moved into the home:
http://www.calgaryherald.com/news/ca...032/story.html
Where the heck were the CPS during all of this? Did they just take the original guy out and leave the door open?
Ridiculous.

This is getting absurd. They have even less right to stay there than the last guy. This is trespassing pure and simple, and the police should be able to remove them by force at this point.

Yeah, what the hell? How does this happen? Is there something really special about this place or are is the transient population of Sylvan Lake that hard up for real estate?

If I recall correctly she lives up in Sylvan Lake. I understand your point, but my question still stands. Did the cops come and get the first guy out and just leave the place unsecured?
Keep in mind this is the same police force that tells us if we make them find any efficiencies in their budget instead of giving them more money we'll all be victims of crime because there will be less cops on the street (while two choppers and a Cessna buzz overhead).
I find this even funnier because just last week while he was door knocking, Alderman John Mar came across a home with an unlocked and open door. He tweeted about informing the CPS and they rushed over and secured the premises. Yet they let this happen? Mind bottling.

The house is in Calgary. That being said this is the sort of thing I could see happening in Central Alberta.......

Heaven forbid that maybe this crackpot gave out keys to his buddies so he can extend his 15 minutes of fame a little longer. Or they broke in. Or maybe they have been in the home before and were there when he was arrested? There's a long list of possibles besides CPS left it unlocked and let randoms in.

Probably just some vulture, looking to capitalize on the press coverage. Swoops in and calls the herald to get his 15 minutes before the old lady even comes down to survey the damage.
I would certainly hope that she can show up, call 911, and have these jokers bounced in short order.

What possibly can the cops do though without keys? Obviously you would have to think since this guy changed the locks he had other keys out there. The landlord has to take some responsibility and if it was my house the second he is arrested I am in there changing the locks. I am sure she could have paid someone to do this for her and not even make the trip.
Now if they booted down the doors and made some forced entry into the property I will go back to siding with her.

Is it normal, in these type of situation, that the police would tell her they when they were going to arrest him?

The tenant changed the locks, maybe he passed out keys to all his embassy employees/members/random people who pass by.
EDIT: So late.

Eviction was set for 12 am this morning so using common sense I would be at the house at 12 am ready to go to get that loser out. I am assuming that is same time the police arrested him.
