Should work. Swipe form the very edge of the screen. I installed Missed it which is a cool notification widget you can add to your homescreen. Once you add your widget you can long press and move the pages. I have it so missed it is on the first screen.

Dashclock is great so far. Couple of things I find annoying is the whether extension is kind of flaky. If you are inside for too long or you start up your phone indoors and can't get a location, a lot of times the whether and temperature show "Null -- C "

I've been finding lightflow great for changing and customizing the notification light colours and frequency. Makes it easy to tell what you received on your phone without having to turn on the screen.

There is a lite version as well that's free.

On one of the app sales there was Cogs on sale. I don't play a lot of games, but I do find myself going back to this one regularly. It is easy to play for a little while and a pretty good brain teaser.

I would recommend it.

And to confirm if you purchased SwiftKey 3, you already have the new Swiftkey Keyboard purchased, you just need to download/update it

Pocketcasts, my face pod cast app, is getting a big overall in a week. I'll find the link to it but looks fantastic. Ability to sync pod casts between devices is a new nice feature it seems.

Could you sync it to a PC? or is it limited to Android devices?

That's the big thing I would want. I come into my office or come home and would like to finish the last 10 minutes of a podcast, but the only way to do it is sit there with my ear buds in.

I have no idea about that, I've never listened to a Podcast on my PC. I would assume no since Pocketcast is a mobile app.

For those S3 users who are lamenting about their battery life, looks like some people are actually getting something out of this.
Applies to all other Snapdragon powered devices (Nexus 4, HTC One series, etc)

So is Snapdragon looking like the real deal so far for those using it? I just ask because I DL'd it last night, and its constantly harassing me to delete Easy Battery Saver, which has worked well for me.

I downloaded the Snapdragon thing two days ago and it's still in learning mode apparently.

Pocketcast's has been updated btw, it's a beautiful update, totally redesigned. The sync between different devices works great.

It has only told me that it is 'learning' so far.

It really seems to be a kind of extremely simplified version of Juice Defender, which I have already purchased, but doesnt work properly on the ROM I am running.

Ah, ya upon further review, it needs about 4 days to "learn" your system before it kicks in. I guess I'll see where we're at after the weekend. Just the repeated requests to erase my other, proven battery saver is getting on my nerves a bit.

It probably sees two battery savers as redundant?

That and since other battery saving apps do much the same, it's raising flags that whatever it's trying to access/change is being disturbed by another battery saving app.

Great thread guys, just got my first Android phone ever, a Nexus 4 after having been an iPhone guy since the very beginning. I am amazed at how much faster, and how much easier and more logical it is to do things than on my iPhone. Doubt I'll ever go back to an iPhone again. Now to read through all 15 pages and get me some sweet new apps!

Another interesting one: Side Bar

Idea is that you have a hidden bar that can hold shortcuts to apps and toggles. Good animations and easy to customize to make more comfortable for each individual.

Apps like these really show the power of Android and at the same time, how much more mobile devices need before they can truly replace larger devices
