I know the Samsung built-in mail application has this. They highlight certain words like 'today', 'tomorrow', or times and it takes you straight to the calendar app.

For those like me who bought a smartphone after October, what flash player do you recommend, since Java decided we're not allowed to use them anymore. What a joke btw...

Thanks - Finally a decent email app! K-9 was not syncing properly with my IMAP accounts, leaving me to delete messages twice.

You can install the latest flash .apk and install it to get flash on stock browser and the chrome beta browser. A quick google search will find you the apk or search on xda.

Trying SwiftKey Flow Beta right now. Kii has been good, but I do find it doing some strange things lately, like inserting words and coming up with bizarre suggestions.
I also learned that SwiftKey Flow will not be released as a stand alone app, but will be given free to those that have purchased their main SwiftKey app, which I have quite some time ago. Pretty sweet.

I have to say that the stock email app on the HTC is probably the only program that I left on the phone. After the bug in the outbox folder for some imap servers was worked out, and it started supporting yahoo mail, it has been the best I have tried.
I suppose that the only complaint would be the length of time it takes to download headers.

That would make me very happy, since I bought SwiftKey and later on that day found out about the Beta. I used Swiftkey for about 2 hours.

I think this will only work for those running Nexus devices, as you need Android 4.2 to run them (Lock screen widgets) but this is my favorite Widget app that came out today.
Dashclock Widget

I've put it on both my Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 and it's really beautiful and handy lockscreen widget.

We found out during the last beta update that the app would not be released as a standalone version, but instead be given away for free for buyers of its Play Store app.

I set it to allow it in options, but I cannot figure out how to add it beyond that

I use the Touchdown email app for my corporate exchange account. It works well and is nice to use but sadly I cannot add anymore accounts to it, that function gets locked down.
I tried Aquamail and liked it but it was not supported by Mobile Iron or at least I could not get it to work with it.
Just downloaded the new Swiftkey and Swype betas, will try them both out and see if they have improved on anything. Both work really well.
I also recently tried an app off of XDA called Ubuntu phone experience I think. Cool app launcher that loads from the side when you slide your finger in from the edge of the phone. Worth a play anyways.

On a Nexus? swipe the lock screen to the right and you should see a big + sign, just click it. To delete or move just long press.

No, running AOKP Task650 4.2.1
Swiping right doesn't do anything.

That is still 4.2 so it should work. You have to be right on the edge of the screen/phone to grab the page. Swiping left should get you the camera.
Unless there is an option to allow multiple widgets that is unchecked. There also mightbe an option to hide/unhide widget helpers.
